Philadelphia Phillies vs. Houston Astros World Series Game 4 Prediction

The Houston Astros and the Philadelphia Phillies will meet up from the city of brotherly love for game four of the fall classic on Wednesday night.

In Game 3, the Phillies jumped Lance McCullers Jr. in the first inning and never turned back. Bryce Harper struck a two-run home run off McCullers Jr. in the bottom of the first with two out. That was just the beginning of a house of horrors for McCuller. Alec Bohm would take him deep in the following inning, and Brandon Marsh would do the same to give the Phillies a 4-0 lead. If that was not enough, Kyle Schwarber hit a two-run home run in the fifth to put the Phillies up 6-0. That was basically the kill shot for the Phillies, but Rhys Hoskins hit one more home run to end the night of McCullers.

Ranger Suarez was outstanding for the Phillies blanking this high-powered Astros offense. The Phillies were able to use guys in their bullpen that are not high-leverage guys. Despite not being the main guys, they were lights out last night. It is rare that you will see Houston get shut out, but we saw it last night.

The Astros are now in a spot that they need to win tonight to avoid falling into a difficult 3-1 hole. It will be no easy task as the Phillies hand the ball to their longtime ace Aaron Nola.

Nola has struggled in his last two starts, including a poor effort last time out against Houston in Game 1. Lucky for Nola, the Phillies were able to erase a 5-0 deficit and go on to win the game in extra innings. The Astros will send Cristian Javier to the bump. Javier had the best year of his career, and now he faces a Phillies lineup that he has little to no experience facing.

I am all over the Phillies tonight. If the Phillies win this game, they will have a stranglehold on the series. They have all the momentum in the world right now, and they have a much better arm on the mound tonight. I will be shocked if Nola does not bounce back after two bad starts. The Phillies offense is playing with a ton of momentum, and I trust that they can get to Javier tonight. Lastly, the Phillies have all their high-leverage arms in the bullpen well-rested. They did not have to burn any last night, which will play a huge role in this game. Let’s stay hot and go Philly!
