March Madness Bets for Thursday

Arizona vs. Princeton Best Bets

Arizona has been extremely impressive all season, as they have one of the most prolific offenses in college basketball. They come into the tournament ranked third in Effective Field Goal percentage, fourth in adjusted offensive efficiency, ninth in offensive 2-point percentage, and 14th in 3-point percentage as they shoot 38% from deep as a team.

A 2-headed monster leads the Wildcats on the inside with Azuolas Tubelis (20/9/2) and Oumar Ballo (14/9/2). Tubelis is a matchup nightmare as he is quicker than most big men and uses his quickness and excellent footwork to get open shots around the rim. He also runs the floor better than anyone in the country and excels at stealing easy buckets in transition. Ballo is more of the traditional back-to-the-basket big man, but he is very skilled around the rim as he is shooting 65% from the floor and is an excellent rebounder. Princeton will be at a significant size disadvantage in this matchup as they do not have any key rotation players over 6’9.

While Arizona is a top-tier offensive team, their defense has not lived up to expectations. They are a middle-of-the-pack defensive team and do not force many turnovers, as they are ranked 248th in the nation in defensive TO%. Princeton may not be an offensive powerhouse, but they take very good care of the basketball and are in the top 100 in lowest TO%, Effective FG%, and 2-point percentage.

Princeton did not play a tough non-conference schedule, but they were extremely competitive in nearly all their games. They have a record of 21-8, and six of those eight losses are by seven points or less, with only one of their eight losses being by more than 10 points. The Tigers do not have the physical personnel to handle Arizona on the inside, but they are a very skilled offensive group that can keep this game close.

With that being said, I am rolling with PRINCETON +14.5 at -110 for 1.5u, and I am also playing the 1H OVER 72.5 at -115 and Full Game OVER 154 at -110 for 1U each.
