Friday gave us another pair of winners and we're back looking for more NBA value. It's only a single today but when I scanned tonight's games there was one line that stuck out like a sore thumb.
Current Record - 18-15-1 (win/lose/push) +1.38u
Sam's NBA picks will regularly be giving you picks for the day's hoop action. I recommend backing these individually but you're welcome to parlay them too. Each pick is staked at one unit.
Clippers @ Lakers
It's that time of the season again when Los Angeles is a city divided, the iconic Lakers versus the upstart Clippers. This year feels different though, despite the fanfare around LeBron's arrival in LA, there's only one team who look a lock for the playoffs and it isn't the Lakers, who sit 4.5 games out of the reckoning.
4.5 being the spread afforded to the Clippers which looks about as subtle as LeBron's tampering of Anthony Davis. It jumps off the page and with good reason. The Clippers rank 4th ATS (57%) when on the road, with the Lakers only covering 40% of the time at home, only marginally better than the Knicks. The Clippers are 6-4 in their last 10, and the Lakers have yet to see any sign of LeBron being 'playoff activated'. Clippers +4.5 against that dreadful Lonzo-less defense is something I'm backing all day long.
