Our picks for Tuesday's NBA action
ANALYSIS

We've got a huge set of games tonight but with so little on the line there is bound to be a lot of freak results. With that in mind I've picked two games where there is still something worth playing for.

Current Record - 34-29-1 (win/lose/push) +1.94u

Sam's NBA picks will regularly be giving you picks for the day's hoop action. I recommend backing these individually but you're welcome to parlay them too. Each pick is staked at one unit.

Grizzlies @ Pistons

I could give you stats to tell you why the Pistons will cover the spread in Detroit but nothing matters as much as the fact that the Pistons lie in eight in the conference and have the Hornets and Heat close behind.

Winning is essential and on their home court they'll decimate a poor Grizzlies team.

Pistons -10.5

Suns @ Mavericks

As if I was going to let the regular season drift off without mentioning my man Luka Doncic again. The Mavericks have been a mixed bag this year. Poor on the road but decent at home and with Luka Doncic at the helm they've bene one of the most exciting teams to watch in the entire league.

Doncic has missed two games and has gone from runaway favorite to win the NBA's Rookie of the Year prize to only a strong favorite. Trae Young is waiting in the wings ready to swoop in for that prize. The Mavericks will want to give Doncic the platform to go and seal that prize. Expect them to punish the awful Suns tonight and for Luka to put on a clinic.

Mavericks -8.5
