Okay, let's get the Kevin Durant injury out of the way. It's bad news for the Warriors but also for hoops fans who won't see one of the top 3 players in the game tonight, and quite possibly for the duration of the playoffs. We've talked anough about how unguardable KD is and the injury in more detail, already this week. So let's focus on the game itself.
The early lines for this game from Vegas were Rockets -5.5 which seemed totally reasonable and I'd probably have taken the Warriors on that. Then Durant got injured but the line has only moved to -6.5. That margin isn't anywhere near big enough for losing a forward like KD. Purely on a value stance alone you need to take the -6.5 available on Houston today.
