Memphis Grizzlies @ Los Angeles Lakers (-12), NBATV, 10:30 PM ET:

The Memphis Grizzlies will travel to the Staples Center to take on the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday night in a Western Conference showdown.

The Grizzlies are coming off an impressive overtime victory at home last game - their first win of the season.

Rookie Ja Morant led the way with 30 points, nine assists, four rebounds, one steal and one block for the Grizzlies in a 134-133 victory over the visiting Brooklyn Nets.

Morant’s 30-point and nine-assist output put him in the same company as Isaiah Thomas (1981) and Trae Young (2018) as the only players in league history to record those numbers or better in one of their first three games.

Dillon Brooks added 21 points, two boards and two assists, Jonas Valanciunas contributed 16 points, 11 rebounds, four assists and two blocks and Kyle Anderson and Solomon Hill chipped in 13 points apiece off the bench for the Grizzlies.

Kyrie Irving of the Nets led all scorers with 37 points to go along with seven rebounds and seven assists.

The Los Angeles Lakers, on the other hand, have won two games in a row after their season-opening loss to the Los Angeles Clippers.

After a 95-86 win over the Utah Jazz, the Lakers took care of business against the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday.

Power forward Anthony Davis finished with 29 points, 14 rebounds, three assists and three blocks and LeBron James added 20 points, six rebounds and 12 assists for the Lakers in a convincing 120-101 win over the Hornets.

Dwight Howard contributed 16 points and 10 rebounds with four blocks and Quinn Cook had 12 points and eight assists off the bench for the Lakers.

Through three games, Morant looks like he may be the real deal for the Grizzlies.

I expect him to have some ups and downs during his rookie campaign, but I think he will come to play under the bright lights in Los Angeles at the Staples Center.

I don’t see the Grizzlies winning this game but I believe they will do enough to cover the 12-point spread.

Take Memphis plus the 12 points on the road in this basketball game.
