Daily Picks 11/05: Bullish Chicago Battle LeBron And AD
Los Angeles Lakers @ Chicago Bulls (+6.5), NBATV, 8:00 PM ET:
The Los Angeles Lakers will travel to the United Center to take on the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday night.
Since losing their first game of the season to the Los Angeles Clippers, the Lakers have rolled off five wins in a row, including key victories over the Utah Jazz, Dallas Mavericks and San Antonio Spurs.
Power forward Anthony Davis finished with 25 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks and LeBron James added 21 points, 11 rebounds and 13 assists for the Lakers in a 103-96 win over the Spurs.
Dwight Howard contributed 14 points, 13 rebounds and two blocks off the bench for the Lakers.
Chicago, on the other hand, will look to rebound after a loss in its last game.
Zach LaVine finished with 21 points, six rebounds and two assists and Wendell Carter Jr. added 20 points, 10 boards and two assists for the Bulls in a 108-95 loss to the Indiana Pacers.
Lauri Markkanen added 11 points and six rebounds and Thaddeus Young chipped in 12 points, three rebounds and three steals off the bench for Chicago.
The Lakers will be seeking a sixth consecutive victory when they visit the Bulls.
After six straight seasons of under a .500 record, the Lakers sit atop the Western Conference standings.
Chicago, however, has lost four of its last five games.
Davis has been remarkable in his first season in a Lakers uniform.
He leads the team with 28.5 points and 11.5 rebounds per game and James is averaging 25.5 points and 8.0 rebounds to go along with 11.2 assists per game, which is 1.5 assists better than any other player in the entire league.
The Bulls are 1-1 at home this season. Los Angeles is 2-1 on the road, even though the lone loss was at the Staples Center against the Clippers.
The Lakers are giving the Bulls 6.5 points in this basketball game.
Nearly 95 percent of the public money is on Los Angeles giving the Bulls the 6.5 points.
When in doubt, go in the opposite direction. I like the Bulls in this matchup.
Chicago is at home, the Lakers are riding high and maybe overlooking the Bulls and this is a nationally televised game on NBATV.
The clear favorite is Los Angeles in this one, but the Bulls are the smart bet.
