Daily Picks 11/15: The King Against Kings
Thursday was highlighted by Kristaps Porzingis losing in his return to Madison Square Garden, and Paul George scoring 33 points for the Clippers in a losing effort to the New Orleans Pelicans.
On Friday, rookie Ja Morant travels to Utah looking to build on his game-winning performance in Charlotte.
Take a look at today’s NBA picks:
BET OF THE DAY
Utah Jazz @ Memphis Grizzlies, 8:00 PM
- The Jazz have a 54 (55.6%) ATS record on the road against the Grizzlies since 2014-15. Jazz/Grizzlies stat taken from Statschecker.
Morant put up a team-high 23 points and 11 assists scored on a layup with under one second left as the Grizzlies defeated the Hornets 119-117.
Memphis (4-7) have had their ups and downs at home with a 2-4 record at the FedExForum.
Utah (8-3) defended their undefeated home record and won a fourth consecutive game after taking down the Brooklyn Nets 119-114.
The Jazz outscored the Nets 35-22 in the fourth quarter surged by Donovan Mitchell, who scored 30 points with six rebounds on 13-of-26 shooting.
Utah has allowed the second fewest points per game in the NBA (99.5 ppg).
Although the Grizzlies have shown some fight, I can’t see them putting up enough points to edge out the Jazz.

Boston Celtics @ Golden State Warriors, 10:30 PM:
- The Warriors have a 3312 (73.3%) W/L record after a loss when playing at home since 2016-17. Celtics/Warriors stat taken from Statschecker.
The Golden State Warriors and the Boston Celtics are two teams heading in completely opposite directions.
Golden State (2-10) are all alone at the bottom of the NBA standings, and were roasted on the road by the Los Angeles Lakers 120-94.
Team-leading scorer D’Angelo Russell led the way with 21 points and eight assists.
Meanwhile, Boston (9-1) stands alone at the top of the Eastern Conference on a nine-game winning streak.
The Celtics had an offensive explosion at home on Wednesday night, defeating the Washington Wizards 140-133.
All five of the Celtics starters put up double figures, led by the shooting efforts of Kemba Walker. Walker knocked down 6-of-12 three-pointers for a team-high 25 points.
Boston is way too deep of a team for Golden State to keep up with.

Sacramento Kings @ Los Angeles Lakers (-8.5), 10:30 PM:
- The Kings have 1420 (41.2%) ATS record at Staples Center from 2010-11. Kings/Lakers stats taken from Statschecker.
The Los Angeles Lakers (9-2) sit alone atop the Western Conference for the first time since 2010.
Los Angeles handled the Golden State Warriors 120-94 on Wednesday night led by Lebron James. James posted a double-double on 11-of-21 shooting for 23 points, 12 rebounds and six rebounds.
The Lakers are 8-3 ATS this season which is second best in basketball.
The Sacramento Kings (4-6) have won four of the last five games, defeating the Portland Trail Blazers 107-99 on Tuesday night. Bogdan Bogdanovic came off the bench and contributed a big 25-point double-double with 10 assists and four steals.
Sacramento is expected to be without De’Aaron Fox for 3-4 weeks and his offensive presence will be missed, especially against the Lakers.
Take Los Angeles to stay on a roll and cover.
