ANALYSIS

In Friday’s basketball games, Memphis Grizzlies rookie Ja Morant finished with 25 points, four rebounds and eight assists in a 107-106 win over the Utah Jazz.

Also, James Harden had an incredible 44 points with eight rebounds, five assists and four steals for the Houston Rockets in a 111-102 win over the Indiana Pacers.

Take a look at today’s NBA picks:

BET OF THE DAY

Toronto Raptors @ Dallas Mavericks

The Toronto Raptors will visit the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday night.

Toronto has won seven of its last eight games against the Mavs, and the Raptors have covered the spread in nine of their last 10 games against Western Conference opponents.

The Raptors will finish off their five-game road trip when they square off against the Mavericks. So far, they are 3-1 and they’ve been fantastic on the defensive end of the court.

They held Damian Lillard to only nine points in a 114-106 win over the Trail Blazers. The Raptors have been winning without Kyle Lowry (fractured thumb), Serge Ibaka (sprained ankle) and Patrick McCaw (knee surgery).

Dallas, on the other hand, will look to put an end to a two-game skid.

The Mavericks had a 106-103 loss to the New York Knicks on Thursday, but star guard Luka Doncic finished with 33 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists.

I believe the Raptors will continue their hot streak against the Mavericks in this one.

Take the Raptors plus the 3.5 points in this matchup.

2u – Raptors (+3.5) @ -105

Charlotte Hornets @ New York Knicks

The Charlotte Hornets will travel to Madison Square Garden to take on the New York Knicks on Saturday night.

Since the 2010-11 NBA season, these teams have won 16 games against each other.

Terry Rozier led the way for the Hornets with 19 points, five rebounds, two assists and three steals in a 109-106 win over the Detroit Pistons in their last matchup.

The Knicks are also coming off a win.

Marcus Morris had 20 points and five rebounds, and Julius Randle contributed 17 points, 10 rebounds and three assists for the Knicks in a 106-103 win over the Mavericks.

With that said, the Hornets are the bet in this one.

The Knicks, who are giving the Hornets 3.5 points in this matchup, have lost six of their last seven games as favorites.

New York has also failed to cover the spread in each of its last nine games against opponents who are playing in the second game of a back-to-back.

Take the Hornets on the road in this one.

1u – Hornets (+3.5) @ -105

Portland Trail Blazers @ San Antonio Spurs

The Portland Trail Blazers will visit the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday.

The Blazers are 4-8 on the season, and they’ve lost their last two games.

The Spurs, on the other hand, are just dying to get a victory because they’ve lost four games in a row.

Rodney Hood led the Blazers with 25 points, and CJ McCollum added 19 points in a 114-106 loss to the Raptors in their last game.

DeMar DeRozan had 21 points and five assists, and LaMarcus Aldridge contributed 13 points, six rebounds, two assists and five blocks for the Spurs in a 111-109 loss to the Orlando Magic.

I like the Spurs in this one.

The home team has won each of the last seven games between these two teams, and the Spurs have covered the spread in four out of their last five home games on the second leg of a back-to-back.

Take the Spurs minus the points here.

1u – Spurs (-1.5) @ -105
