Daily Picks 11/24: Suns Rise To The Occasion
In Saturday’s NBA action, Devin Booker finished with 35 points, 12 rebounds and nine assists, and Kelly Oubre Jr. had 25 points and 11 boards for the Phoenix Suns in a 100-98 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Also, Zach LaVine scored a career-high 49 points, which included the game-winning bucket with 0.8 seconds left, to lift the Chicago Bulls to a 116-115 win over the Charlotte Hornets.
Here are Today’s NBA Picks:
BET OF THE DAY:
Dallas Mavericks @ Houston Rockets
The Dallas Mavericks will travel to Houston to take on the Rockets on Sunday. The Mavericks have a 10-5 record so far this season.
The Mavs are currently riding a four-game winning streak. In their last game against the Cleveland Cavaliers, Luka Doncic finished with 30 points, 14 assists and seven rebounds in a 143-101 win.
The Rockets, on the other hand, have suffered back-to-back losses, which put an end to their eight-game winning streak. James Harden had 37 points, 12 assists and eight rebounds for the Rockets in a 122-119 loss to the Clippers at the Staples Center.
Doncic has been electric for the Mavericks so far this season. He is averaging 33.3 points, 10.8 rebounds and 11.0 assists during the winning streak and I believe he will take his game to another level in this one.
Roll with the Mavericks plus the 5.5 points on the road here.
2u – Mavericks (+5.5) @ -105
Phoenix Suns @ Denver Nuggets
The Phoenix Suns will travel to Denver to take on the Nuggets on Sunday.
Booker led the Suns with 35 points and Oubre Jr. added 25 points in the win over the Timberwolves.
The Nuggets, on the other hand, will look to extend their five-game winning streak.
Jamal Murray finished with 22 points, which included two clutch free throws with 1.5 seconds left in the game to lift the Nuggets to a 96-92 win over the Boston Celtics.
Booker has been unstoppable for the Suns, averaging 26.2 points per contest in the month of November.
If the Suns are going to have a chance in this one, Booker will need to be at his best, and I think he will.
Take the Suns plus the points in this matchup.
1u – Suns (+9) @ -110
New Orleans Pelicans @ Los Angeles Clippers
The Los Angeles Clippers will host the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday night.
The Clippers, winners of four straight, are coming off a big victory over the Houston Rockets on Friday night.
Lou Williams had 26 points off the bench for Los Angeles, and Kawhi Leonard had 24 points, six rebounds, three assists and three steals in a 122-119 win.
The Pelicans will look to rebound after a loss to the Utah Jazz. In that matchup, Brandon Ingram had a team-high 33 points in the 128-120 losing effort on the road.
Since Paul George’s return, the Clippers have been on a roll and quite frankly I don’t see it slowing down any time soon.
Take Los Angeles minus the points at home here.
1u – Clippers (-12.5) @ -102
