In Wednesday’s NBA action, DeMar DeRozan finished with 30 points, six rebounds and four assists for the San Antonio Spurs in a 129-114 win over the Boston Celtics. LaMarcus Aldridge contributed 13 points, six boards and four assists in the victory.

For the Denver Nuggets, Nikola Jokic had 33 points, seven assists and six boards in a 107-106 win over the Dallas Mavericks. Luka Doncic had 27 points, 10 assists and nine boards for the Mavs in the loss.

Here are Today’s NBA Picks:

BET OF THE DAY:

Boston Celtics @ Philadelphia 76ers

  • Since the 2017-18 NBA season, the Philadelphia 76ers have a 59-41-1 against the spread record in night games at the Wells Fargo Center. (Stat courtesy of Statschecker)

The Sixers will look for back-to-back wins when they host the Boston Celtics on Thursday night.

In their last game against the Oklahoma City Thunder, Josh Richardson led the team with 23 points, Ben Simmons had 17 points, 15 rebounds and eight assists, and Joel Embiid finished with 18 points, nine rebounds and eight assists in a 120-113 win.

The Sixers squared off against the Celtics back on Dec. 13 in Boston. In that matchup, Embiid had 38 points, 13 rebounds and six assists, and Tobias Harris finished with 23 points, eight boards and seven assists in a 115-109 win for the Sixers.

Now Philadelphia will be in its home building where it has a 17-2 home record.

The Sixers are the pick here. Roll with Philly minus the points.

2u – Sixers (-2) @ -110

Portland Trail Blazers @ Minnesota Timberwolves

  • The Minnesota Timberwolves have a 9-21-2 against the spread record in night games against the Portland Trail Blazers since the 2011-12 NBA season. (Stat courtesy of Statschecker)

Carmelo Anthony is coming off his best game as a member of the Portland Trail Blazers. So, what will he have in store in his encore performance?

Anthony led the Blazers with 28 points, which included the game-winning bucket with four seconds to go in the game to lead Portland to a 101-99 come-from-behind victory over the Raptors in Toronto.

The successful basket was Anthony’s 17th career go-ahead shot in the final five seconds of the fourth quarter or overtime, which is four more than any other player since the 2003-04 NBA season. Anthony is averaging 16.5 points and 6.0 rebounds in 23 games as a member of the Blazers.

The Blazers will look to continue their winning ways against the Timberwolves. Portland has won six of its past seven games against Minnesota, and quite frankly, I don’t see it changing here.

Take Portland minus the points in this matchup.

1u – Trail Blazers (-2.5) @ -110

Houston Rockets @ Oklahoma City Thunder

  • Since the 2017-18 NBA season, the Oklahoma City Thunder have a 6-1 against the spread record in night games against the Houston Rockets. (Stat courtesy of Statschecker)

The Houston Rockets and Oklahoma City Thunder will face off for the first time since the fourth game of the season back on Oct. 28. In that matchup, the Rockets came away with the home win.

James Harden finished with 40 points and seven assists, and Russell Westbrook contributed 21 points, 12 rebounds and nine assists for the Rockets in a 116-112 victory.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the Thunder with 22 points, nine rebounds and four assists, and Chris Paul finished with 15 points, four rebounds and four assists.

The Thunder have certainly grown a ton since this loss to the Rockets. Winners of six of their last seven games, I believe Oklahoma City will give the Rockets a run for their money in this matchup.

Take the Thunder plus the points here.

1u – Thunder (+2.5) @ -110
