Here are Today’s NBA Picks:
BET OF THE DAY:
Dallas Mavericks @ Utah Jazz
- Since the 2010-11 NBA season, the Dallas Mavericks have a 20-12-1 against the spread record against the Utah Jazz. (Stat courtesy of Statschecker)
The Dallas Mavericks will try to win consecutive games when they travel to Utah to take on the Jazz on Saturday night. Luka Doncic finished with a team-high 27 points with nine assists, six rebounds and two steals for the Mavericks in a 133-125 win over the Portland Trail Blazers.
The Jazz have been on a roll, winning 18 of their last 20 games which has put them in second place in the Western Conference, but they will have their work cut out for them when they host the Mavericks.
Doncic has been unbelievable this season. He leads the Mavericks in scoring, with 29.1 points, 9.6 rebounds and 9.0 assists per contest. Doncic will be a starter in the upcoming NBA All-Star Game and will be the first Maverick since Dirk Nowitzki in 2010.
The Mavericks plus the 4 points on the road is the pick here.
2u – Mavericks (+4) @ -105
- The Oklahoma City Thunder have a 3-8 against the spread record at the Target Center after a win since the 2012-13 NBA season. (Stat courtesy of Statschecker)
The Minnesota Timberwolves are on an eight-game losing streak entering this game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. On Friday night, Karl-Anthony Towns had 30 points and 12 rebounds for the Wolves in a 131-124 loss to the Houston Rockets. Andrew Wiggins added 28 points, five rebounds and three assists.
The Wolves must put an end to this losing streak eventually, right? I’m going to keep rolling with Minnesota until I see it happen. Take the Wolves here plus the 1 point.
1u – Timberwolves (+1) @ -110
Los Angeles Lakers @ Philadelphia 76ers
- Since the 2017-18 NBA season, the Philadelphia 76ers have a 62-42-1 against the spread record as a home team in night games. (Stat courtesy of Statschecker)
The Philadelphia 76ers enter this matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers with an impressive 20-2 home record. On Wednesday night, Tobias Harris finished with 22 points, six rebounds and four assists, and Ben Simmons contributed 17 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists in a 107-95 road loss to the Toronto Raptors.
The Sixers, who were on a four-game winning streak before the loss to Toronto, will have Harris and Simmons available, but they will be without All-Star center Joel Embiid for a ninth straight game because of a torn ligament in his left hand.
The 76ers may not win this matchup, but the 4.5 points in this one is tough to pass up.
Take the Sixers and the points here.
1u – 76ers (+4.5) @ -110
