For the Houston Rockets, James Harden had a game-high 40 points to go with 12 assists and nine rebounds in a 125-110 victory over the Charlotte Hornets.
Here are Today’s NBA Picks:
BET OF THE DAY:
Indiana Pacers @ Toronto Raptors
- Since the 2013-14 NBA season, the Toronto Raptors have a 19-8 against the spread record in night games against the Indiana Pacers. (Stat courtesy of Statschecker)
The Toronto Raptors will enter this matchup on an 11-game winning streak.
If they defeat the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday night, it will mark a franchise record for consecutive victories.
In their last game against the Chicago Bulls on Sunday, Terence Davis led the way with 31 points off the bench and Pascal Siakam added 17 points, nine boards and five assists.
Kyle Lowry contributed 14 points, six assists and four rebounds and Fred VanVleet chipped in 12 points, eight assists and four boards in an impressive 129-102 win.
Toronto has won 11 straight regular-season home games against the Pacers and the Raptors should make it 12 in a row.
They will try to avenge a 120-115 overtime loss to the Pacers back on Dec. 23, but that game was in Indiana.
The Raptors minus 6 points is the pick here. Roll with Toronto.
2u – Raptors (-6) @ -105
Memphis Grizzlies @ Dallas Mavericks
- The Dallas Mavericks have a 21-15 against the spread record against the Memphis Grizzlies since the 2010-11 NBA season. (Stat courtesy of Statschecker)
The Dallas Mavericks will once again be without superstar Luka Doncic when they take on the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday.
With that said, the Mavs are eyeing a third straight victory; their two previous wins came against the Atlanta Hawks and the Pacers.
On Monday night, Kristaps Porzingis finished with 38 points and 12 rebounds for the Mavericks in an impressive 112-103 win over Indiana. Tim Hardaway Jr. added 25 points, five assists and four boards.
Against the Hawks two days earlier, it was Jalen Brunson who had 27 points in a 123-100 win.
The Mavericks and Grizzlies squared off back on Nov. 9, and it was Dallas who came away victorious. Behind 24 points and 14 rebounds from Doncic, the Mavs pulled out the 138-122 win.
Dallas will have its work cut out in this one against a Memphis team that has won five out of its last six games.
The Mavericks at home minus the 5 points are the pick here.
Roll with Dallas.
1u – Mavericks (-5) @ -105
Miami Heat @ Los Angeles Clippers
- Since the 2017-18 NBA season, the Miami Heat have a 60-37-3 against the spread record as an away team in night games. (Stat courtesy of Statschecker)
The Miami Heat continued to prove why it’s one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference when it took down the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday night.
Jimmy Butler had a game-high 38 points with seven rebounds, three steals and two boards and Bam Adebayo added 18 points, 11 assists and eight rebounds in an impressive 137-106 win.
Goran Dragic contributed 24 points and six assists off the bench for the Heat, who are now 22-3 at home.
Yes, the Heat aren’t quite the same team on the road as they are on their home floor. But in all of sports it’s difficult to play on the road and their 12-12 record isn’t that bad.
They will face a Clippers team that has won eight of their last 10 games, which includes a big 122-117 win over the Heat in Miami back on Jan. 24.
Not saying the Heat win this one, but I’m loving the 6.5 points in their favor. Take Miami here.
1u – Heat (+6.5) @ -105
