Boston Celtics vs. Los Angeles Lakers: Odds, Picks & Predictions
PICK OF THE DAY: (2u) Lakers -4.5 @ -110
Boston Celtics @ Los Angeles Lakers, 3:30 PM:
- Since the 2017-18 NBA season, the Los Angeles Lakers have a 32-22-1 against the spread record after a win when playing as a home team. Stat courtesy of Statschecker.
The reason we’re backing the Lakers
The Los Angeles Lakers enter this matchup against the Boston Celtics on a four-game winning streak.
In their last game against the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday night, LeBron James finished with 32 points, and Anthony Davis added 28 points and 13 rebounds for the Lakers in a 117-105 victory at the Staples Center.
In the previous meeting this season between the Celtics and Lakers back on Jan. 20, Jayson Tatum, Kemba Walker, and Jaylen Brown all scored 20 or more points for the Celtics in a convincing 139-107 win over the Lakers at TD Garden.
Look for the Lakers to get some revenge at home in this matchup. Roll with Los Angeles minus the points here.
(1u) Thunder -5 @ -110
San Antonio Spurs @ Oklahoma City Thunder, 7:00 PM:
- The Oklahoma City Thunder have a 20-5 record as a favorite this season. Stat courtesy of Statschecker.
The reason we’re backing the Thunder
The Thunder enter this game on a roll, having won two games in a row.
In their last game against the Denver Nuggets on Friday night, point guard Chris Paul finished with 29 points and center Steven Adams added 19 points and 17 rebounds in an impressive 113-101 win over the Nuggets.
The Spurs are also on a two-game winning streak of their own, but the Thunder at home minus the five points is the pick here. Roll with Oklahoma City.
(1u) Warriors +8.5 @ -110
New Orleans Pelicans @ Golden State Warriors, 8:30 PM:
- The Golden State Warriors have a 21-16 against the spread record against the New Orleans Pelicans since the 2012-13 NBA season. Stat courtesy of Statschecker.
The reason we’re backing the Warriors.
The Golden State Warriors will look to put an end to a five-game winning streak when they host the New Orleans Pelicans in this Sunday night matchup.
In their last game on Thursday night against the Houston Rockets, Andrew Wiggins led the Warriors with 22 points, but they couldn’t overcome 29 points and 10 assists from James Harden, and 21 points, 10 assists and five rebounds from Russell Westbrook in a 135-105 Rockets win.
I believe the Pelicans will ultimately win this road game against the Warriors, but I’m loving Golden State plus the points in this matchup. Roll with the Warriors plus the 8.5 points.
