Portland Trail Blazers vs. Indiana Pacers: Odds, Picks & Predictions
PICK OF THE DAY: (2u) Trail Blazers +9.5 @ +100
Portland Trail Blazers @ Indiana Pacers 8:00 PM:
- The Portland Trail Blazers are 4-1 against the spread in night games at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse since the 2014-15 NBA season. (Stat courtesy of Statschecker)__.
The reason we’re backing the Trail Blazers
The Portland Trail Blazers will visit Indiana to take on the Pacers in this Thursday night matchup.
The Blazers will look to rebound after a tough home loss to the Boston Celtics on Tuesday.
CJ McCollum finished with 28 points, 10 assists, four rebounds and three blocks and Hassan Whiteside added 18 points and 19 boards for Portland in the 118-106 loss.
Damian Lillard has been missing due to a groin injury and it’s highly unlikely he will play in this one. McCollum, however, has stepped up in his absence.
He is averaging 32 points, 10.7 assists and 6.3 rebounds over Portland’s last three games. Whiteside has also posted a double-double performance in seven straight games.
Look for this duo to be productive in this matchup at Indiana.
Portland plus the 9.5 points is a no-brainer here. Take the Blazers.
(1u) Kings +6 @ -102
Sacramento Kings @ Oklahoma City Thunder, 8:00 PM:
- Since the 2014-15 NBA season, the Sacramento Kings have a 7-1 against the spread record in night games at the Chesapeake Energy Arena.
The reason we’re backing the Kings
The Sacramento Kings enter this matchup trying to win a fourth straight game.
Against the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday night, De’Aaron Fox had 21 points and five assists and Harrison Barnes added 21 points as well in a 112-94 victory. Buddy Hield added 19 points and six rebounds off the bench.
Not only have the Kings won three in a row, but they are winners of six out of their last eight games.
This will be the third and final matchup between the Kings and Thunder this season. The previous two games were in Sacramento and both teams have split the series to this point.
Expect the Kings to come to play on the road.
I think the Thunder ultimately win but the Kings and the 6 points is just too good to pass up.
(1u) Lakers -13.5 @ -110
Los Angeles Lakers @ Golden State Warriors, 10:30 PM:
- The Golden State Warriors have a 48-60-3 against the spread record in games played during February since the 2010-11 NBA season.
The reason we’re backing the Lakers
The Los Angeles Lakers are on fire.
The Lakers have reeled off six straight games entering this matchup against the Golden State Warriors on Thursday night.
Against the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday, LeBron James finished with 40 points, eight rebounds and six assists and Anthony Davis added 21 points, 14 rebounds and six blocks in a 118-109 victory.
Look, the Warriors have nothing to play for. They are trying to get the top pick in the NBA Lottery Draft, so winning does them no justice.
They will maybe keep the game close for a little while in the beginning just to keep it interesting, but I believe the Lakers will eventually pull away and cover the 13.5 points here.
Take the Lakers.
