Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Milwaukee Bucks: Odds, Picks & Predictions
PICK OF THE DAY: (2u) Bucks -10.5 @ -110
- The Milwaukee Bucks have a 42-24-2 against the spread record in night games at the Fiserv Forum. Stat courtesy of Statschecker.
The reason we’re backing the Bucks
The Bucks are 26-3 at home, which is the second-best record in the NBA. Milwaukee has won four games in a row since the All-Star break, including victories over the Philadelphia 76ers, Washington Wizards and Toronto Raptors.
Against the Raptors on Tuesday night, Giannis Antetokounmpo finished with 19 points, 19 rebounds, eight assists and three blocks, and Khris Middleton added 22 points and eight boards in a convincing 108-97 win.
Milwaukee is easily one of the two best teams in all of basketball, and easily the best team in the Eastern Conference. I don’t see an Oklahoma City Thunder squad heading into the Fiserv Forum and walking out of there with a win. It will be the second game of a back-to-back for the Thunder.
Take the Bucks minus the 10.5 points. They win easily.
(1u) Jazz -10.5 @ -110
- Since the 2015-16 NBA season, the Utah Jazz have a 7-2 against the spread record against the Washington Wizards.
The reason we’re backing the Jazz
The Utah Jazz have struggled mightily as of late, having lost four games in a row, and this home game against the Washington Wizards has turned into a must-win.
On Wednesday night against the Boston Celtics, Donovan Mitchell finished with 37 points, five rebounds and five assists for the Jazz in a 114-103 loss. Surprisingly for the Jazz, all four of their losses have come at home, where they will once again be playing on Friday against the Wizards.
Mitchell is going to be the catalyst for the Jazz in this matchup. He has scored 30 or more points in three straight games, and he's had 35 or more points seven times this season. Look for Mitchell and the Jazz to bounce back from a four-game skid in this one.
Take the Jazz minus the 10.5 points here.
(1u) Nuggets +5.5 @ -105
- Since the 2014-15 NBA season, the Denver Nuggets have an 11-7 against the spread record in night games at the Staples Center.
The reason we’re backing the Nuggets
The Denver Nuggets will look to continue to build on a two-game winning streak in this matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers.
On Tuesday night against the Detroit Pistons, Jerami Grant finished with a team-high 29 points off the bench, and Nikola Jokic added 16 points, five rebounds, four assists and four steals for the Nuggets in a 115-98 win.
The Nuggets shot 57.9 percent from the floor, and they have now won eight out of their last 11 games.
This is going to be a very competitive game between the two Western Conference foes, but I love the Nuggets getting the 5.5 points in this game.
