Philadelphia 76ers vs. Boston Celtics: NBA Picks
We will try and keep the momentum going after a hot couple of days. Looking at the board today there’s value in the close out scenario with the Celtics and Sixers, as well as what the Jazz have done to the Nuggets. We will try and slide in some value with the Mavs injuries, and even Brooklyn might present something with their backs to the wall. Good luck today!

This is about as bad as it gets for the Philadelphia 76ers with their season on the line today. There’s something to Joel Embiid’s comments about doing everything in his power to avoid the sweep. While I wouldn’t touch that big line, knowing how easy it would be for Boston to get points late, I will look at the last-ditch effort by Philly. Boston was played pretty close last game until they pulled away late to cover. The difference here will be in the first half. Philly has gotten next to nothing from Tobias Harris and Al Horford despite monster contracts. I think this changes, at least for the first half.
The Celtics got a huge game from Kemba Walker and have at least three more players who can kill the Sixers. Look for Philadelphia to play like their season is on the line, for the first time all series, and hit more shots than last time. They were an abysmal 29% from the floor and despite Embiid had no bright spots. Sixers take the first half today.

Luka Doncic is a GTD with a sprained ankle despite the MRI revealing nothing serious. The problem for Dallas might not even be a hobbled Doncic more so a revived Leonard. Kawhi went off last game and dominated all aspects of the game. The team could still be better with Paul George doing next to nothing once again. The line is a little long, but I like it here in the Clippers really pulling away in this series. Dallas just doesn’t have the firepower to keep up with LA, especially if the supporting cast continues to help cover for George.
Even if Doncic plays hurt today expect a little fight out of Dallas, but it’s too little too late, especially with their star dealing with the injury. It’s enough now to lay the 8 points and get a little over even money back. I was tempted to lay another point to get a positive return back, but I’ll settle for this great deal at FoxBet. Mavs lose by double digits.

This will be a complete sweep by the Raptors today mainly because of how well they’ve played defense. Brooklyn is still down Joe Harris and looks lost on offense. Expect the Raptors backcourt to continue to set the tone, pounding the Nets into oblivion. Serge Ibaka was a monster up front last game, helped also by Pascal Siakam. The Raptors are too talented and haven’t looked anything close to the team who lost the first game in this series.
The close out scenario here is key in the total going under. The Raptors will start to pull guys late with a big lead, which will slow down some offense for Toronto. I’m not worried in the slightest about the Nets hitting the century mark, they have failed to hit it over the past two games vs. Toronto. The Raptors might hang 70 on Brooklyn in the first half, then it’s cruise control into the second round. We are a long way from that Nets upset and it looks like the Raptors have taken it personally on defense.

Wire to wire victory tonight for the Jazz. Utah absolutely manhandled the Nuggets the last two games, especially in game 3 124-87. Mike Conley returned to the team and immediately went off, dropping 7 3’s on the Nuggets. Denver is still down a couple of guys in their backcourt and can’t figure out how to slow down Utah. The other element here is Rudy Gobert controlling the middle, leaving Nikola Jokic lost at times on both ends of the floor. The key factor here is how well Utah has played on offense as the defensive effort is expected. We can now throw the Jazz in the same category as the Bucks and Raptors, an angry team who took the first loss of the seires personally.
Utah will continue to put pressure on Denver and with the addition of Conley it’s simply too much for the Nuggets. Jazz will win this game tonight and have a commanding 3-1 lead in the series. Don’t expect Utah to waiver at all or slowdown from their last two outings, this team is super focused and will run through Denver. Disappointing for sure for the Nuggets, but they woke up a monster by knocking off the Jazz in game 1. Roll with Utah all game!
