There are a couple of really good games on Wednesday’s NBA slate. The Thunder and Lakers are running it back following their OT game on Monday, Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets take on Collin Sexton and the Pacers battle a star-studded Nets team that has struggled to play well of late.
But, I’m going to be focusing out west as the Milwaukee Bucks travel to Phoenix to take on the Suns for tonight’s nightcap.
There are three bets for Wednesday's Bucks vs. Suns game that I have my eyes on, and I’m going to take advantage of FanDuel’s generosity and package them in a 3-leg parlay to try and win big.
3-Leg Parlay @ +437 - $50 Bet Wins $218
Leg 1: Bucks -4.5 @ -110
We are riding the hot hand here and fading the team that may be without their point guard due to injury. Milwaukee has been on fire of late. They’ve won five straight games by double-digit figures, their closest game coming in a 13-point win over the Nuggets.
On top of that, Chris Paul has missed some time with hamstring soreness and is questionable for tonight. If Phoenix plans on being a contender out West this year, it is much more beneficial to rest Paul and let him get back to 100% rather than rushing him out there.
Even if he plays, Milwaukee is playing better basketball right now. They’ve been steamrolling teams and have that top spot in the East in their sights.
Leg 2: Over 226.5 @ -110
This total seems a bit low for me, which I’m sure means it’s a trap and we’ll get something like a 97-88 game, but I can’t not bet it. Milwaukee is the NBA’s highest scoring team, averaging 121.3 points per game. In this current five game win streak, they have scored over 120 points in every single game and all but one went over 226.
Phoenix tends to play at a slower pace, and doesn’t put up the kind of offensive numbers the Bucks do, but if they expect to hang around with the Bucks, they’ll need to score to keep up. Whether or not the Suns have Chris Paul, I still like this over to hit.
Leg 3: Giannis Antetokounmpo Over 29.5 points @ -110
I really wanted to take the over on E’Twaun Moore’s points, but since Paul’s status is up in the air, the market isn’t available. If Paul doesn’t play, I’d add the over on Moore’s total points if it’s anything around 10-12. Still, I think the over on Giannis is a good play.
The Bucks got out to a somewhat uninspired start after an incredible regular season last year. Since, Giannis has put the team on his back and started to look like he’s rounding back into his MVP form.
The Greek Freak has scored 30 or more points four of his last seven games. He is still one of the best players in basketball, despite some fan fatigue, and he’s looked hungry of late. I like another big game from Giannis.
