Sean Highkin previews Friday's NBA games and gives us his picks

Phoenix Suns vs. Chicago Bulls

The Bulls are riding high right now, with Zach LaVine having been named an All-Star for the first time in his career and the team on a three-game winning streak. Those three wins have come against lottery teams in the Kings, Rockets and Timberwolves.

This is a chance for them to pick up a quality win against a good team in Phoenix, or at least make it closer than the spread of -5.5 points would suggest. That number is right on the border, but expect the Bulls to be competitive enough to cover.

The pick: Bulls +5.5 @ -105 (Click To Bet)

Indiana Pacers vs. Boston Celtics

Up until his off night in the Celtics' most recent loss to the Hawks on Wednesday, in which he shot 1-for-8 from beyond the arc and 4-for-20 overall, Jayson Tatum had made at least three three-pointers in four consecutive games

Boston is on a three-game losing streak after their blowout loss to Atlanta and close losses to Dallas and New Orleans. They return home after that winless three-game road trip—and in Boston, they had won two of their previous three games.

There's good value on this player performance/result double bet on FanDuel, for the Celtics to snap their losing streak and Tatum to rebound from his off night to knock down some shots from long range.

The pick: Jayson Tatum 3+ threes/Boston to win @ +200 (Click To Bet)

Portland Trail Blazers vs. Los Angeles Lakers

Both of these teams are in desperate need of a win after recent losing streaks. Both are missing key players, with the Lakers down Anthony Davis and the Blazers without Jusuf Nurkic and C.J. McCollum. LeBron James and Damian Lillard are two of the leading MVP candidates.

The Blazers have already beaten the Lakers on the road once this season, and that was with everybody healthy. Out of their three recent losses, two of them were competitive, including against Denver on the second half of a back-to-back. At +198, taking Portland to win outright is a good value play here.

The pick: Blazers ML +198 (Click To Bet)
