Monday gives us a slate of seven games to get stuck into, it looks like there is some value to be had, so lets get stuck straight into it.

Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Houston Rockets

This pick looks like a real steal to me and I think we can secure an easy W at the Toyota Center tonight. The Cavs have had a patchy season, they tarted brightly before going on an incredible losing streak but that's been snapped and this team has won their past three games and they'll be looking to add a fourth win today.

Those wins are the reason I'm backing the Cavs here. Last time out the Cavs beat the Sixers with that overtime victory being only the third time that Philadelphia have lost on their home court this season. What was impressive is that the team came through in overtime having squandered a 13-point lead beforehand.

The game before that was against tonight's opponents, the Houston Rockets and the Cavs won by 16 points. So the recent form tells us that the Cavs have beaten the in-form Sixers and this mess of a Rockets team. I'd be tempted to back the Cavs on the moneyline but instead we'll play it safe and just take the points. The Rockets, fresh off 11 straight losses shouldn't be heav favorites here and we're backing Cleveland.

Utah Jazz vs. New Orleans Pelicans

I'll put it simply, the Jazz are a team you're almost forced to back each night at the moment. We've heard Comparisons from Brad Stevens to that famous Spurs team and they're starting to feel like the really do have a shot at the Championship this year.

They're currently fifth favorites to win the Finals and it feels like the sportsbooks haven't quite caught up with just how good this team is, they may not have a true superstar in their ranks but they're such a strong team across the board and have so many weapons who can hurt you, which has led to them having the 3rd best offense rating in the league per NBA Adavanced Stats.

They're 6.5-point favorites here and I'm confident that they'll cover. They've won 21 of their past 26 games by 10+ points, which underlines just how strong they've been of late. They're 25-9 against the spread across the season and we should see that extend to 26-9 tonight.

In the two meetings we've seen between the Pels and Jazz this year there has been two Utah victories with both games being won by 11+ points. Everything is pointing to another Jazz cover here, they have a great offense, solid defense, so back it.

The Pick: Utah -6.5 @ -110 (Click To Bet)

Other NBA Games

Dallas Mavericks at Orlando Magic (+7)

I don't feel confident backing the Mavericks at the moment and I'd lean toward taking the Magic. They're 8-10 at home and are far better on their own court. Take Orlando and the 7 points.

Indiana Pacers @ Philadelphia 76ers (-5)

After a humbling loss to Cleveland we're set to see an angry and fired up Sixers, they're going to be motivated to win here and have played well recently. With a 14-3 record at home we'll take Philly to cover here.

Denver Nuggets (-5.5) at Chicago Bulls

One of the strange wrinkles of this Covid hit season is that Chicago have a worse record at home than they do on the road. They're 7-10 in Chicago and 8-7 when they're travelling. Denver haven't exploded yet this year and sit 7th in the West but have the potential to easily thrash anybody. They destroyed OKC by thirty points in the last game and given how they manged to rest their best players you'd expect them to be fresh today too.

Brooklyn Nets (-3.5) at San Antonio Spurs

We don't know exactly who we're going to see with the Nets tonight with Brooklyn nursing injuries, as are the Spurs. Brooklyn has won 8 of their past 9, covering 8-1 in that time, they've also covered the spread in their past 5 on the road, which gives me confidence that Brooklyn should win if they name a good starting lineup.

Charlotte Hornets (+6.5) at Portland Trail Blazers

Arguably the hardest game of the day to pick. Portland are the far better team but they have lost four games on the spin, to the Lakers, Nuggets, Suns and Wizards. They'll be hungry to bounce back and they should win at home but I would lean towards Charlotte covering. The Hornets are 1-5 ATS when facing Portland but I don't think that is too important here. The stat that leaps out to be is that the Hornets are 21-10-2 ATS when playing as an underdog, showing that this is a team who tend to show up for big occasions. I back them to cover against Portland who are 5-11 ATS in their past 16 games on their home court.
