Brian Good gives us his NBA 3-leg Same Game Parlay
ANALYSIS

The Sixers continue their roadtrip out West with a game against the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday. If both teams were healthy, this would be billed as one of the best games of the NBA regular season between two teams from different conferences with title hopes. But, the Sixers are still without Joel Embiid and LeBron James and Anthony Davis are both out for the Lakers. Still, there are tons of good players on the floor and lots of value on the board for today’s FanDuel Same Game Parlay.

There are three bets for tonight's Sixers/Lakers game that I have my eyes on, and I’m going to take advantage of FanDuel’s generosity and package them in a 3-leg parlay to try and win big.

3-Leg Parlay @ +594 - $50 Wager Wins $297

Leg 1: Philadelphia 76ers -5 @ -110

There was panic around this Sixers team when Joel Embiid went down with a knee injury against the Wizards earlier this month. In the past, this team has struggled mightily without The Process on the floor and, with first place in the East very much within their grasp, it seemed as though any missed time from Embiid would sink their shot at home-court advantage throughout the playoffs.

But, this Sixers team under Doc Rivers has proven they are a much more complete unit than in the past and can survive without their superstar center. Since Embiid went down, the Sixers have lost just one game and it came in overtime to the Milwaukee Bucks. Their wins since Embiid was injured have come by an average of 14.5 points per game.

Meanwhile, the Lakers are yet to win a game since LeBron James went down with an ankle injury. I love the Sixers tonight giving just five points.

Leg 2: Over 213.5 @ -110

This is an extremely low total, and part of me gets it.  The Sixers are a top-tier defensive team with elite on-ball defenders like Ben Simons and Matisse Thybulle on the roster that could give this Lakers team that lacks any star power right now a real issue.

But, we only need about 105 points here from the Lakers in order for the total to look great, and anything in triple digits gives us a chance. On top of that, the Sixers have been one of the highest scoring teams in the NBA this month, averaging just over 119 points per game in March. I think the Sixers run away with this one a bit. Something like 120-105 sounds right to me.

Leg 3: Tobias Harris 25+ Points @ +136

We mentioned that the Sixers haven’t missed Joel Embiid as much as they have in past years when he’s missed time. The main reason for that is the stellar play of Tobias Harris. Last year, Harris was one of the most disliked athletes in Philadelphia due to his poor play. This year, following his reunion with Doc Rivers, he's been playing at an All-Star level.

In the Sixers' last five games, Harris has scored 25 points three times and is averaging 24.6 points per game. Harris is the clear go-to option on the offensive end without Embiid, and I expect that to continue tonight.

Another interesting stat is that in the three games since LeBron went down, the opposing team’s leading scorer has scored at least 25 points against the Lakers in all three games. The Lakers are giving up big games to opposing scorers and Harris is the most likely choice to go off tonight.
