NBA Picks Friday April 2 - Best Bets & Predictions

Expert NBA handicapper Sean Highkin provides his best bets for Friday's NBA action.

Golden State Warriors at Toronto Raptors Predictions

This game will be interesting to monitor leading up to Friday evening because as of now, both teams' moneylines have positive odds, so there's value no matter which way you play it. However, Stephen Curry re-aggravated his tailbone injury in Thursday night's loss to the Heat, and it's not a stretch to guess the Warriors might give him a night off on the second half of a back-to-back on the road. If he's announced pregame as out, the value on the Raptors will plummet. If he plays, you're still betting on the home team against a team playing for the second night in a row with a banged-up star.

The pick: Raptors ML (+140, FoxBet)

Houston Rockets at Boston Celtics Predictions

There isn't much value in taking the Celtics to win outright against a terrible Rockets team, but if you add in Tatum's point total on one of FanDuel's player performance doubles, the odds get a lot more favorable. Even at the low end, Tatum scoring at least 25 points in a Celtics win is +168. Bump that up to 30 and the odds more than double to +390, which is right in the sweet spot of something that could very easily happen while also giving good value.

The pick: Jayson Tatum 30+ points/Boston to win (+390, FanDuel)

Oklahoma City Thunder at Phoenix Suns Predictions

Phoenix should win this game, but the spread is too high not to jump on the Thunder to cover with close to even odds. This OKC team can catch good teams on the right night, and it's an easier task to do that for them on the first night of an upcoming back-to-back than it will be on the second half in Portland on Saturday.

The pick: Thunder +12.5 (-105, FoxBet)
