The bookies believe that this game will be close and it's certainly one of the most interesting games on today's slate. When these two teams meet in the Amalie Arena on Thursday there is only going to be one winner and I believe it's an easy one to predict.
Washington have been playing pretty well recently, they've only lost 3 games in their past 14 and averaging 115.8 points on 47.6% shooting. With Bradley Beal and Russell Westbrook playing well they're hard to stop, even if the rest of the rotation doesn't assist them that much, and Rui Hachimura, the third scorer in double-digits, is sidelined for this game.
Westbrook keeps on putting up incredible numbers, averaging 21.8 points and 11.2 assists and is playing like a man who is angry at the lack of respect that he gets. He wants and deserves more respect from fans and he's still one of the league's best individual talents.
The Raptors don't have anybody with Russ' skills, with the highest scorer Pascal Siakam averaging less per game thatn Westbrook. Fred VanVleet will be sidelined for this game too, depriving Toronto of a legitimate scoring threat, something which I think will really help Washington here.
The Wizards might be coming off a gutting loss against the Bucks, and reaching the end of a back-to-back but I think they're simply too good to lose here. They're hungry to win and prove people wrong and it's important that they keep winning if they want to get into playoffs. I'm expecting the Wizards to cover here and I'd also consider them a good bet on the moneyline too, if you're looking for bigger odds.
