Grizzlies vs. Warriors Prediction: Ja Morant, Steph Curry Facing Off
Grizzlies vs. Warriors Predictions - Friday May 21
NBA expert Sean Highkin is back on OddsChecker to break down the final game of the NBA Play-In Tournament as the Memphis Grizzlies, led by Ja Morant, take on Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors with a spot in the NBA Playoffs on the line.
Memphis Grizzlies vs. Golden State Warriors Picks & Prediction
These two teams played on the last day of the regular season, and unlike most of the games played that day with seeding implications, both teams were trying to win, so it actually could serve as something of a preview of what will happen in their play-in game to decide the final playoff seed.
What that means? Memphis, who eked out a win over San Antonio in the first play-in game, will keep it close, and then Stephen Curry will happen, as he did against the Grizz last weekend and as he did against the Lakers on Wednesday, when Golden State came within a last-second LeBron James three of upsetting the defending champs. This young Memphis team may not be quite ready for prime time — we saw Ja Morant struggle at the free-throw line in several spots during the Spurs matchup, and the pressure is only higher here with Memphis’ season on the line. The Warriors should have enough advantages to pull this one out.
