The Lakers couldn't keep up with Devin Booker on Sunday night and they'll need to do better on Tuesday night to level the series.
Los Angeles Lakers
One of the big concerns for Phoenix coming into this was how well they'd be able to handle the Lakers size, with many experts saying that it would be the deciding factor. It's still early in the series but they dealt with it well in game one. They didn't just beat the Lakers for rebounds, they destroyed them, securing nearly 50% more. Anthony Davis too wasn't the monster that we worried about, with the Suns and in particular Deandre Ayton locking him down and limiting him to just 13 points

Phoenix Suns
The Suns' young talent put on a serious show in game one. They're already too big to claim it was a coming out party, but they put on a clinic. Devin Booker got 34 points with Deandre Ayton adding another 21 and more importantly, locking down AD.
Despite the performances of the young core, it was Chris Paul who felt like the story of the game. When he went off injured it looked serious and you could feel the Suns' hopes fading, despite holding the lead. Luckily CP3 came back to the court and managed 36 minutes in the game.
He's expecting to play tonight and his presence on the court is a huge influence for the Suns, with his knowledge and experience really helping the likes of Booker and Ayton.
Lakers vs. Suns Prediction
We all know about LeBron James' incredible record in the first round of the playoffs, so it's easy to understand anybody backing the Lakers here. Last year they started slow before ultimately winning the Finals and you'd be a fool to rule that out here.
That said, I was hugely impressed by the Suns on Sunday and in particular how they managed to stop the Lakers size becoming an issue while still playing their own game. I'm backing them to take a 2-0 lead in the series here.
I'm also backing the over. As good as both teams were defensively on Sunday I think 208.5 is very, very low for a game like this, and it's well worth betting.
