How much pride do the Wizards have?

If there was one series that you’d have bet on ending in five games, with the underdog pulling out enough stops to steal one home game, it was this one.

The Wizards are not pushovers, and they’ve shown as much this series. Game 1 had a five-point margin with under two minutes to go, while Game 2 saw the teams separated by 14 going into the fourth quarter before the Sixers pulled away.

Washington isn’t perfect, but they haven’t lost three straight games since early April, and they have won three out of the last four games they were home dogs, which they are here.

The Sixers, meanwhile, haven’t been above a bad loss at any point this season, and while they ended up finishing with the East’s top seed, their overall net rating (5th) speaks to a team that shouldn’t expect a first-round sweep.  

Considering their road net rating is a middling positive 2.4, which ranks just 10th in the league, there’s no reason to expect that this one won’t be close.
