Bucks vs. Heat Prediction: Game 4 Odds, Picks & Betting
NBA Playoff Picks - Saturday, May 29
The question needs to be asked: why is this line so low?
The Heat have lost the last two games by a combined 63 points. Of the last 40 teams to take 3-0 series lead in the NBA playoffs, 28 have completed the sweep. The Bucks are a relatively better team on the road than they are at home, with the 3rd best road net rating in the NBA to the 5th best home efficiency differential.
In short, everything is pointing to this being a Milwaukee win, and not a particularly close one either.
And that’s where the perception of their opponent comes in. “Heat Culture” has become one of the ultimate buzzwords in modern NBA parlance. There is a respect that exists for the uniform almost over and above that which exists for the players that inhabit it.
The truth is that the players filling out those jerseys simply haven’t been very good. Jimmy Butler has been their best player and yet is only shooting 30 percent from the field. Tyler Herro is at 28 percent, and Bam Adebayo is at 40 percent despite all of his looks coming at close range.
Simply put, the evidence provided by the names on the back of the isn’t enough to believe in a miraculous turnaround just because of the words on the front.
