NBA Playoff Picks - Saturday, May 29
The most pivotal game of the day, bar none.
If Denver wins, the series is all but over, with the Nuggets then having three chances to win one game, two of which will be at home.
If Portland wins, Denver will still have home court advantage, but with a depleted back court and already having shown the propensity to drop a game in their own arena.
Leading up to Game 1, this series felt like the surest bet to go seven games, and thus far, it has lived up to the competitive billing, with just 10 points separating the teams after three games.
So far, as Denver shoots the three, so goes the result. In the game they lost, they shot 30 percent from deep; in the games they won, it was 43 percent and then an absurd 53 percent in Game 3.
Despite reaching that lofty number on Thursday night, the Nuggets emerged with just a five-point victory. In other words, this series is still very much in play.
Portland is home and this line is small enough where you feel OK about giving the points to a team that has won two straight. These teams are even all the way. That comes through in the result here.
