Suns vs. Nuggets Prediction: Game 3 Odds, Picks & Betting
NBA Playoff Picks - Friday, June 11
Perhaps with the exception of the Clippers, who still aren’t allowing fans into their games, no team has had less of a home court advantage in these playoffs than the Denver Nuggets.
In three games against the Blazers, they outscored Portland by just a dozen points for a positive 3.1 net rating. Compare that with the Nets, Bucks, Hawks, Sixers and Denver’s Friday night opponent, the Phoenix Suns, all of whom have playoff home net ratings in the double digits.
Speaking of the Suns, they won two of their three road games in the first round against the defending champion Lakers. That’s a logical carryover from the regular season when they won 24 road games, two more than any other team.
Now, going into Denver, they face a team that has traditionally held one of the better home court advantages in the NBA, but this year was just 25-11 in the high altitude of Colorado with a good but not great 6.2 home net rating.
In other words, just like Atlanta doesn’t deserve to be underdogs in their matchup, the Nuggets don’t deserve to be favored here, not after getting blown out in the last two games against a team that is firing on all cylinders. Act accordingly.
