Will it be a gentlemen’s sweep?

The odds-makers don’t think so, favoring Phoenix on the road, albeit slightly.

Given the Suns’ performance over the first three games of the series, this would seem to be an underestimation of the level of respect Phoenix deserves. Denver has lost the first three games of the series by 17, 25 and 14 points, respectively.

Worse yet, Michael Porter Jr, who was supposed to step up in Jamal Murray’s absence, has been hampered by a bad back. As a result, he’s averaging just 13.7 points in the series and shooting 36 percent from the field. Will Barton has returned from his injury to help pick up some of the slack, but it seems a bridge too far with a Suns team that is now rolling, having won six games in a row.

History also says that this is the end of the road with the Nuggets. Over 60 percent of teams to go up 3-0 throughout NBA history have ended the series in four games. Denver is at home and plays with an immense amount of pride, having come back from 3-1 down twice last year in the bubble.

But that pedigree is the only reason why this line is so low. Take advantage of the disrespect that continues to surround these Suns.
