If you’d have suggested that the Eastern Conference Finals would be over in five games after Atlanta’s opening win, the odds are that you’d have been talking about the Hawks advancing to their first NBA Finals since the team had relocated to Atlanta.

After all, Trae Young had just gone off for 48 points and the Bucks again looked incapable of losing out a close game. As long as the Hawks kept it close, you might have figured, there’s a chance the series might have been there’s.

That sure seems like a long time ago after two straight Milwaukee wins, one in overwhelming fashion and the other, Game 3, resulting in a hobbled Young whose status moving forward is uncertain. If he does play, there’s a chance he may not be himself, and for the engine of Atlanta’s entire attack, that’s bad news.

There’s also the matter of the Hawks now having lost more games at home in the last two weeks than they had in the previous two months. If nothing else, the Bucks have absolutely no fear about going into State Farm arena and winning a game. To follow up their Game 7 victory in Brooklyn, they scored 25 of the final 32 points to close out Game 3.

All put together, it’s no surprise they’re favored by a comfortable margin. Throw in the fact that Giannis Antetokounmpo remains unstoppable and Khris Middleton finally seems to be back on track after putting up 38 points and seven assists, and it’s easy to see the Bucks steamrolling their way to their first Finals since Kareem called Wisconsin home.

I'm keeping it simple with my Bucks vs Hawks prediction, even zooming out, this might simply be a matter of picking the far better team. The Bucks have a positive 7.4 net rating for the postseason while Atlanta sports just a negative 2.1. That’s a large gap to have to make up, and without their leader fully healthy, it figures to be an impossible task.

Milwaukee Bucks vs. Atlanta Hawks Prediction: Milwaukee Bucks -6
