While Allen may be known as one of the most unlikeable players in the league, dating back to his “tripping” days at Duke, we still like the value here. I love betting overs on guys with punchable faces, when nobody else wants to bet on this guy I'll drive straight to the bank.
So far this season Allen is shooting 40.7% from the field and 32.6% from beyond the arc. While those numbers aren't necessarily impressive coming from a sharp shooter, the attempts are what really intrigue me. I'm a volume-first guy and I always will be, when I see guys going 3/4 or 4/6 my eyes don't really light up because I’m always expecting some negative regression. With Allen, He’s taken 8, 9, 8, 8, and 10 attempts this season, going over 2.5 in three of five games.
If a guy is gonna shoot the ball 8-10 times a game from beyond the Arc, and we only need 3, i'll take it every single time. This Spurs defense is scrappy but with Jrue Holiday out of the lineup there are definitely enough shots to go around. A couple days ago, I read that Grayson Allen had taken the most wide open threes in the NBA but only made 5/18, this team is getting him looks and I expect him to deliver.

If you guys know anything about me, I love tossing some lunch money on these longshots. Without Marcus Smart in the lineup, Schroder now sees a clear path to playing 30+ minutes against a Wizards defense that has improved, but can still be taken advantage of. Normally it's hard to get a play that's hit in two straight games at +830 but I'll take my chances here.
While Schroder started the season slow, he's gone 4/9 and 4/6 over the last two games. While I said earlier I don't like relying on efficiency, for any kind of longshot bet like this you're gonna need to see a player be efficient. All this typing and I totally forgot to mention that he literally hit this in the last game they played, which was against Washington. Washington will continue to prioritize stopping Tatum and Brown, while letting role players like Schroder try their best. With +830, all we need is a window of opportunity and I see it.
