We're aiming to start this week off right, with another five-team parlay that favors the underdogs keeping things respectable. Let's dive right in.

Cleveland has been better than most expected, primarily due to their size across the frontcourt and the impressive play of Lauri Markkanen. Currently sitting at 3-4, the Cavaliers are showing their no pushover and will look to stifle LaMelo Ball the Charlotte Hornets in their second meeting of the season. Entering tonight's contest, the Cavaliers will be without Isaac Okoro, while the return of Terry Rozier gives the Hornets a clean bill of health. Over their last three games, the Hornets have won one, lost one, won one – so perhaps us taking the Cavaliers to cover a +7-point spread is a good idea!

Two struggling teams face off tonight when the 2-4 San Antonio Spurs go up against the 1-6 Indiana Pacers. Greg Popovich has his team sitting in 10th for defensive points allowed, making them one of the sterner opponents in the league on their current for. On the other hand, the Pacers are a middle-of-the-road offense with a bottom-eight defense. Rick Carlisle's men are losing games by an average of 4.4 points and have struggled to find consistency, in part due to injuries. Despite their sluggish start, the Pacers enter tonight's contest as slight favorites, which is why we're taking the Spurs to cover a +7-point spread. Luckily, even if the Spurs win, the spread is met, and we continue towards our end goal.

Portland is on their second night of a back-to-back after losing against the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday night. The Trail Blazers and 76ers are close to full health, with Ben Simmons being the only major rotation piece not participating in tonight's game. The Trail Blazers have the upper hand in terms of offensive firepower, while the 76ers Joel Embiid will face a physical challenge against the imposing Jusuf Nurkic. Both teams currently reside within the top 5 on offensive points per 100 possessions, but the 76ers have a far sterner defense. I'm expecting a closely fought battle that could go either way, and a lot will rest on the shoulders of the 76ers perimeter defenders such as Matisse Thybulle as they try to limit Damian Lillard's impact. We're taking the Trail Blazers with a +8 spread, which gives us plenty of wiggle room no matter how things shape out.

The Atlanta Hawks vs. Washington Wizards game was the hardest one to choose a side with. Washington defies early-season expectations and is coming off back-to-back wins against the Boston Celtics to take their season to 5-1. Meanwhile, the Hawks are one of the deepest teams in the NBA but are struggling for consistency to start the year, finding themselves with a .500 record. Both teams have star players who are slowly working their way into form and have been riding their rotations players harder than usual. Yet, the Hawks are simply more talented and have more dynamic skills off the bench while also having a top-12 offense and defense. I'm standing by the Hawks in this one and expecting their diverse skillsets to overpower the Wizards by 6.5 points or more in tonight's contest as they look to avenge their 11-point loss to Washington last Friday.

Last but not least, we have the Toronto Raptors vs. the New York Knicks. New York has started the season hot and has the #1 ranked offense in the NBA. Unfortunately, their defense is currently ranked 19th, meaning they're reliant on outscoring their opponents. Toronto has been a surprise package thus far, thanks largely to their rookie Scottie Barnes, who has been sensational to start his NBA career. The Knicks are favored to win tonight's game, and in all honesty, there's very little reason to wager against that outcome. However, the Raptors have been a feisty unit thus far and will scratch and claw on every possession, which is why we're expecting them to stay within a nine-point margin to complete today's parlay.

Boston Celtics vs. Chicago Bulls Same-Game Parlay

Celtics vs Bulls Odds

Two of the Celtics' four losses this season have been due to a poor effort level, which led to Ime Udoka calling out individuals and the team as a whole midway through last week. On Saturday, the Celtics responded in a hard-fought double-overtime loss to the Washington Wizards, and now they face the 5-1 Chicago Bulls. If the Celtics continue their "never-say-die" approach, the Chicago Bulls will struggle to contain them, especially since their loss to Washington was due to an awful night shooting the ball from three. There's also the point of who the Bulls have defeated to build their early-season record, with only the Utah Jazz being of notable importance. Beyond that, the Bulls' success has come against strugglers such as Detroit and New Orleans. With this in mind, we can't take the Bulls' current offensive and defensive ratings into account, as it essentially fools gold. And now, faced with two All-Star wings and a deep rotation of serviceable veterans, we will see if the Bulls are as good as their record states. We're taking the Celtics to win a close game by three or more points tonight. But, you can invert this parlay for +557.

Los Angles Clippers vs. Oklahoma City Thunder same-game parlay

Los Angeles Clippers Money Line

Los Angeles Clippers -10

Clippers vs Thunder Odds

Sure, the Los Angeles Clippers are struggling without Kawhi Leonard, a quick glance at their 1-4 schedule will tell you that, but they should be easily dispatched to the Thunder. Both Paul George and Luke Kennard have been solid to start the season, and with their three-level scoring, should have a field day against the Thunder, but you also need to beware of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who is one of the best young guards in the NBA. Shockingly, despite their troubles, the Clippers are currently 9th in defensive points allowed, while the Thunder are in the bottom two for both offense and defense. The Clipper is likely to find success tonight with such a robust defense, despite missing multiple rotation players. We're expecting a blowout, as is routine for the Thunder at this point, and expect the Clippers to win by ten or more points. If you want longer odds, invert this parlay for +998.
