NBA Player Prop Picks: The Best Bets for Monday's Slate

We have to get dirty people. No more of this -135 stuff. When we're betting NBA player props, it's plus money or it's nothing for me. That means pulling your sleeves up and going through the grimiest of the grimiest player props. This style isn't for everyone. Just know that going in. It's for people that understand what it means to be a true grinder. The kind of person that doesn't mind a 135-131 +37 unit record at the end of the season. If you're reading this, I think you might be that kind of person.

Mo Bamba 10+ rebounds (+140)

We can only play this one at FanDuel for +140 since we are basically doing an alt line. The number is 8.5 -105 at DraftKings and BetMGM but I want the +140. We only need one extra rebound and it's a giant jump in odds. We should have some faith in our guy Mo.

Bamba is all over the place with rebounds in the first seven games of the season but I think that's a good thing. He's had double digits in four of them so that's promising. He's likely to be on the floor for 30+ minutes tonight which is more promising given that he's pulled down at least 10 boards in every game that's seen him hit the 30-minute mark.

Opponent matters in the NBA and Bamba gets a good one. First off, Karl Anthony-Towns plays for the Timberwolves so Bamba will need to be on the floor. The Magic need his size. Can't get rebounds if you're not on the floor. That's just a fact.

Being a center on the floor helps against the Timberwolves because they give up massive rebounding games to the five spot all the time. Nikola Jokic just ripped down 19. Jonas Valanciunas pulled down 23 and 17 in back-to-back games. Bamba is not the same type of guy as those two but we don't need 20 from him tonight. Just grab 10, big fella!

Darius Garland over 2.5 rebounds (+140)

I'm playing this at BetMGM but you can play it anywhere. The price is best at BetMGM but at DraftKings they're offering 2.5 at +135, which is fine. FanDuel is being a little stingy as they are only giving us +118 for the 2.5. What a world.

In his last four games, Garland has gone over this number three times. He's definitely not flying over it but he did pull in four boards against the Los Angeles Clippers. Still, this number is low enough that we don't need him to do anything special. He could accidentally grab three.

The opponent feels right here since it's the Charlotte Hornets. They operate at a top-10 pace, which will help the Cavaliers since they play so slow. On top of that, we've seen Damian Lillard, Kyle Lowry, Cole Anthony, and Dennis Schroder all pull in at least four rebounds from the point guard position against the Hornets. Colin Sexton even grabbed four when Garland was out due to a sprained ankle. I think three boards is not a lot to ask of Darius tonight.
