NBA Player Prop Picks: The Best Bets for Wednesday's Slate
NBA Player Prop Picks: The Best Bets for Wednesday’s Slate
Sometimes you just have to be thankful for what you have. I was hoping for a Game 7 in the World Series tonight but I didn't get it. Baseball is over. But instead of dwelling on that I decided to just dive into the NBA. Wouldn't you know, there is an 11-game slate on tap. It's like Adam Silver and God got together and said, "here John, don't be sad". I'm thankful for both God and Adam Silver at this point but not only them, these two studs below that are about to take us to cash city.

Svi Mykhailiuk Over 18.5 points + rebounds + assists (-118)
This is my favorite market to go after. It's the land of opportunity for NBA player props because it all counts. We've got pretty much the same number no matter where you play so book won't really matter here. FanDuel technically has the best number but it's only slightly better than the 18.5 -120 DraftKings is offering.
This guy has been around for a couple years and he's always good to check out when he cracks a rotation. He's generally viewed as a scoring piece off the bench but his role looks to be expanded in Toronto. He's filling in for the injured Scottie Barnes again tonight which means he could see 30+ minutes for the second game in a row.
Mykhailiuk doesn't get to play 30+ minutes much so the books don't know how to price him. That's good for us because we know that last season Mykhailiuk played 30+ minutes six times and went over this number in all six games. Not bad.
Monday night against the Knicks, Mykhailiuk played 30+ minutes and pulled in five boards while dishing out five assists on top of the 15 points he scored. This game should be played at an even faster pace and we have multiple ways to get home. I'm not convinced that he can't grab eight or nine rebounds. This looks way too low.
Wendell Carter Over 20.5 points + rebounds (+102)
This bet can also be found at FanDuel and I have no clue why it's plus money. DraftKings doesn't offer this market currently so they are out for this one. BetMGM usually does but they don't have any NBA player props up at the time of writing.
This feels a lot like stealing. Basically if this guy plays 30 minutes, we're good. He's played at least 30 minutes in five games this season and he's gotten home on this number in four of the games. The thing is he looks like he's just getting better since he's hit at least 29 points + rebounds in each of his last three 30+ minute games..
He's getting the Boston Celtics tonight who are one of the NBA's worst rebounding team. Preseason doesn't matter but it should be noted that Carter played the Celtics twice and went 21 and 18 while never playing more than 28 minutes. I think this guy is just getting started and will come close to this number in points alone.
