NBA props expert John Hyslop is here with his top player prop pick for Thursday night's NBA action.

NBA Player Prop Picks for Thursday: Threes to the Max

Three lonely NBA games are all we have on the slate for Thursday night, but if we pay attention, there's value in these streets. You just have to wait for it to show itself. Guess what just happened? Value came out of the dark and into the light. It was magic. The best part is, it's in the Toronto Raptors vs. Philadelphia 76ers game at 7:00 pm ET, so we get to watch it play out while we wait for the NFL game to come on. That's living the dream.

Tyrese Maxey Over 1.5 Made Threes (+140)

Line available at DraftKings at time of publishing.

This one is best played at DraftKings or FanDuel since both are showing 1.5 for +140. BetMGM isn't far off at 1.5 +130, but why would you do that unless you just had to. At the end of the day, the prices are close, so there is that.

Tyrese Maxey has made the most of the unfortunate 76ers' Covid situation. The kid is getting plenty of time on the floor, which has been resulting in plenty of opportunities to compile statistics. The one I have my eye on tonight is the made threes category.

It's hard not to notice that Maxey has taken 15 threes in the last two games. He took nine last time out. That's called letting it fly. We don't get many opportunities to bet a guy to hit two three-pointers in a game where he might take nine of them. When that happens, our hands are tied.

Tonight is not as easy as the other night, though. Tobias Harris and Seth Curry might play, but there's a chance neither one of them do. If Harris plays, he could be on a minutes cap as he hasn't played since October 30th. Curry's foot is hurt, but we really don't know the extent. Whatever happens, if either guy plays, Maxey should take at least five threes tonight. So why won't he hit at least two of them?
