NBA Player Prop Picks for Wednesday: Look to Lu Dort

In the NBA, you have to watch out for beatdowns. Beatdowns ruin bets and, in turn, ruin lives. That's just giving it to you straight. Tonight, there are plenty of games on the slate, and all we have to do is find one that won't turn into a beatdown. The first one that came to mind is the Houston Rockets vs. Oklahoma City Thunder. I know what you're thinking, and you're right. The Rockets did beat the Thunder down last time they played. But that was the only time Houston has won this season. So it won't happen tonight.

Not sure why but our guy Luguentz Dort is being severely disrespected by the books tonight. The best price I've seen is 15.5 -115 at DraftKings, but he can be had at FanDuel at -118, so that's good too. BetMGM will enter the fray at some point, so it will be interesting to see what they come up with.

We want our guys playing their full complement of minutes. If our guy sits out the entire fourth quarter, we probably won't win our bets unless we have an under. Of course, nobody wants to bet an under so let's do it this way. One guy that stands out as someone we can trust (if given his full minutes) is Luguentz Dort.

First of all, the man has scored at least 20 points in his last four games. He's been in double digits in shots taken, and points scored in every game since October 24th. So he's going to give us a shot to get home here. The thing I like best is in his last six games; Dort has taken at least 14 shots in four of them. You can't score if you don't shoot people.

He gets the Rockets tonight, who have the seventh-worst defensive efficiency in the NBA on the road this season. They also play at a decent pace which will always help an over. The Thunder are pretty bad themselves on defense, so we should get some back and forth action. If and when that happens, Dort should go over this low point total.
