NBA Player Prop Picks: Going For Threes
I needed time to drop this one because it's kind of scary, but I feel like it could be the right thing to do. The Los Angeles Lakers are playing the Milwaukee Bucks on ESPN tonight at 7:30 pm ET. Obviously, it would be incredibly irresponsible not to have action on this game. We're talking national television here, people. Even though this one has blowout potential, I still think I may have found a genius way to play it—just incredible work here by me.
Talen Horton-Tucker 1.5 Made Threes (+115)
Line available at DraftKings at time of publishing.
I'm thinking DraftKings for this one since they have 1.5 for +115. FanDuel is offering +110 for the same bet, so if you have to go there, don't beat yourself up. You're doing what you can, and you're still getting a fair shake. I still haven't seen anything from BetMGM, but I bet they come in hot between +105 and +120.
This kid clearly wants to shoot the basketball, and with LeBron James on the mend, it looks like he has the green light. He's only played two games, but he's put up at least 14 shots in both. That's what we're looking for, especially since he only played 27 minutes in his first game. Shooters shoot.
I get that there are blowout possibilities here, but the Bucks haven't been great recently. Albeit they have been missing Khris Middleton and will be getting him back, but he hasn't played in forever. I bet he's rusty and on a minutes limit. That helps us. It also helps that Horton-Tucker was kept on the floor when Chicago blew out the Lakers. Just something to think about.
Horton-Tucker hasn't really been a three-point guy in his career, but he looks like he wants to add that to his game. He took five in his first game back and nine in the second. Only eight teams in the NBA see their opponents take more three-point attempts than Milwaukee, so that's an angle we can feel good about. If the Lakers want to attack that way, Horton-Tucker should get enough looks to get home on this number.
