NBA Player Props for Friday: Finding Value With Josh Hart
Friday is the greatest day of the week. We al know that. You have the whole weekend ahead of you which is a great feeling. Still, you can always kick your Friday's up a notch and I have the easiest way on the planet to do it. Gambling. Yep, just go over the lines in the morning and find something to hitch your Friday night to. If you do it early enough, you can actually forget you even bet what you bet which is the holy grail of gambling. To turn on a game and realize you have money on it that you forgot about is what dreams are made of. Hopefully, that happens with this one.
Josh Hart Over 3.5 Assists (+128)
Lines available at FanDuel at time of publishing
This one is hanging at FanDuel right now and it's special. To get a 3.5 on Josh Hart at +128 makes me feel like it's Christmas. It's not because I checked but still, it's a great way to start the day. DraftKings and BetMGM still haven't come to market in terms of player props in this game but I'm sure they will soon. I didn't want to wait so I just took it at FanDuel.
This one will be fun. I think the Pelicans have an outside shot of keeping this game interesting especially since the Clippers are on a back-to-back. I'm not a huge believer that being on a back-to-back means anything but let's just go with it. It feels right.
At the end of the day, I think this guy will play at least 30 minutes tonight whether it's a blowout or not. That's important because in his last four games where he played 30+ minutes, Hart has recorded at least four assists in all of them. He's leading the Pelicans in potential assists over that span with 8.8 per game. We only need four tonight people.
The Clippers are decent in the opponent assists per field goal made metric but 57% of the field goals made against them on the road are assisted. That's not elite. The haters could say that this one will be played at a slower pace but we'll still see 100+ possessions for each team. Again, we only need Hart to record four assists. He's got that.
