Monday's NBA player prop pick from John Hyslop comes to us in tonight's Philadelphia 76ers vs. Sacramento Kings game. John has his eyes on Tyrese Maxey

NBA Player Prop Picks for Monday: Trust in Tyrese Maxey

We all know where I'm going here but I figured we need to at least explain why. It's a little more complicated than, Tyrese Maxey is my guy so we have to roll deep tonight but that's pretty much it. I've grown to appreciate Maxey's game over the last couple weeks and if I had a vote in the NBA MVP, it would go to Maxey. The kid deserves some recognition.

76ers vs. Kings odds

Tyrese Maxey Over 21.5 Points (+100)

Lines available at DraftKings at time of publishing.

I went to DraftKings for this one because FanDuel has 21.5 at -110. BetMGM hasn't even posted a line yet for Maxey. My guess is they're waiting for Tobias Harris to be announced out. People are already saying he is not expected to play and I don't think he will.

This could be a street ball game since the 76ers are missing so many regulars. No Joel Embiid, no Ben Simmons, no Tobias Harris and no Danny Green tonight. My guess is Maxey could end up taking 20+ shots. In his last six games, he's hit this number five times. The kid can score.

Sacramento just fired their coach so there is a chance they show up and play "inspired" ball tonight. I don't think they will but that kind of things happen. Think about if your boss that you hate just got fired. You probably show up the next day ready to roll. I get it.

Still, the Kings are the second worst team in the NBA in terms of defensive efficiency over the last three games. We'll definitely need this game to stay competitive but the line is only 3.5 so there is hope there. I think we have another winner on Maxey here even though we are paying for his ceiling.

* If you guys want to YOLO this one, FanDuel is the spot. You can do Maxey for 25+ at +172, 30+ at +490 and 35+ at +1400. This is definitely the night and guy to try one of these on.
