Wednesday's NBA player prop pick from handicapper John Hyslop comes to us from Magic vs. Nuggets. John is backing Aaron to beat up his old team.

NBA Player Prop Picks For Wednesday: Don't Sleep on Aaron Gordon

I'm sorry people. I almost let the greatest bet in the history of bets slip through the cracks. I promise I'm not losing my fastball. This was just a simple oversight that was easily found the second time I went through the slate with a fine-toothed comb. If we're being honest, I didn't even need a fine-toothed comb. I could have found this with a brush or even one of those old-school combs from way back in the day. This one is going to be so easy it's not even funny.

Nuggets vs. Magic odds

Aaron Gordon Over 14.5 Points (+100)

Lines available at DraftKings at time of publishing.

I found a little discrepancy here as FanDuel has this same number for -110. I think they're on to us but it's too early to tell. Both DraftKings and BetMGM are both hanging 14.5 for even money so we'll just play there. I went to DraftKings but you can go to BetMGM if you need to. After all, this is America. We bet where we want.

If we're being honest, it feels pretty weird to take a Nuggets' player after they just played in South Beach last night. We all saw the pictures on Twitter of Nikola Jokic and his brothers partying into the wee hours of the night after the game. Then it hit me. Do you know who wasn't pictured partying? Aaron Gordon. My guess is he was at the hotel doing pushups because of who Denver plays tonight. What a warrior!

The Nuggets will be in Orlando getting it on with the Magic tonight at 7:00pm ET. Yes, the same Orlando Magic that traded away Gordon like he was the reason they've been a losing franchise for years. Big mistake. The first time Gordon played his former team was just a couple weeks after and he dropped 24 on those guys. But this time is different. It will be the first time he gets to play the Magic in Orlando in front of their people.

This is bad for numerous reasons. First the Magic, are horrific against the power forward position as they average 23 points per game against them. Second, the Nuggets are missing everyone so Gordon's usage will be as high as it can be. He's already going to bring it since it's in O-town but over his last five games he's scored at least 15 points in four of them so he's in great form. I don't think there's any chance this guy goes for less than 15 points tonight.
