NBA props expert John Hyslop is back with his second top player prop pick for Friday night's NBA action.

NBA Player Prop Picks for Friday: It's Garrison Time

Rule #12 in gambling life is that bettors should go through the NBA slate twice each day. I would argue that rule should be higher, but who am I to argue with actual rule-makers. I'm just a guy. But anyway, the rule is good because the second time I went through the slate, something stuck out. Somehow I missed the Milwaukee Bucks and Houston Rockets game. The good news is, I didn't miss it twice. It's Garrison time, people.

Garrison Matthews Over 11.5 Points (-120)

Lines available at FanDuel at time of publishing.

FanDuel is the spot for this one since they're offering the best price. DraftKings has -125, and Barstool is coming in hot with -127. Both are playable, and both beat BetMGM since they have yet to drop player props on this game.

The Houston Rockets have won seven games in a row which is crazy. I would have bet my house (responsibly) that this team would never win seven games in a row at any point in the season, but here we are. Of course, they haven't beaten anyone good during this streak, so there is that but still seven games in seven games. Good job, Rockets.

I'm not saying this winning streak is all Garrison Matthews' fault, but it did coincide with him getting more minutes. He's played at least 27 minutes in all seven wins, and he's scored at least 12 points in all of those games. It's hard to argue that Matthews isn't the MVP of the league right now. The guy is undefeated (kind of).

Matthews isn't reinventing the wheel as he is kind of just hanging out by the three-point line drilling shots. Good enough for me. The thing is, that should play tonight against the Milwaukee Bucks. No team in the NBA sees their opponents take more three-point attempts than the Bucks. It's how people choose to attack them.

But wait, there's more. Our guy Matthews likes the home rims. On the season, he's hitting 43% of his treys at home compared to only 34% on the road. So even though this game has blowout potential, I still think this guy scores at least 12 points tonight. It just feels right.

* If you want to James Bond this thing, FanDuel is offering 15+ points for +200. You can also do 4+ made threes for +215. Neither one is stupid, and both could easily hit. If you do, I would definitely say brag about it on social media because those are big boy odds.
