NBA Player Prop Picks for Wednesday: Celebrate the Holiday Early
Great news people, I know what we're doing tonight, gambling. Now I know we've had four straight days of NFL and NBA, but if we're being honest, I think we can bet right through the fatigue. At this point in the year, we're about as battle-tested as we're going to be, and frankly, I'm proud to say that. With only the NBA to bet tonight, our jobs are pretty easy. There are only six games on the NBA slate which makes it even easier to find something that has a 0% chance of losing.

Jrue Holiday Over 19.5 Points (-113)
Lines available at Barstool at time of publishing.
I'm over at Barstool for this one since they are coming in at -113. FanDuel was hanging -118, so that's fine too if you have to go there. Both DraftKings and BetMGM are in the -120s, so they are last resort only. Never forget that getting the best price can save you money for YOLO parlays (math).
Jrue Holiday is my guy. I love him. He's one of the most unheralded players in the NBA, which is why the books have him in the teens tonight. Watch one of his games. The guy is legit one of the best players on the floor every night, but he plays with Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton, so nobody notices him. It's sad, really.
Well, tonight Antetokounmpo is being listed as out again, and so is Bobby Portis. So that leaves Holiday and Middleton to handle the scoring load. Keep in mind this will be Middleton's first game back. He busted his knee up (technical term) on December 13th.
We're not psychics, so we shouldn't be betting on whether a guy will make shots or not. What we can bet is that our guy is going to get more opportunities than the books think he is. The ball is either going to go in, or it isn't people. I just like my chances better if my guy takes a ton of shots. Obviously.
Since Middleton and Antetokounmpo went out, Holiday has taken at least 18 shots in each game. I know it's two games, but what do you want me to do here. I was given this world, I didn't make it (Tupac). Last game, Holiday took 36 shots, and even though he isn't likely to do that again, you see the dawg is strong with him.
The Bucks play the Rockets tonight, and they might smash, which would limit Holiday's fourth-quarter minutes. I'm not scared of that since if the Bucks smash, it's probably because Holiday went off. This is probably going to be my favorite bet of the night unless a superstar decides to sit 10-minutes before their game.
* If you want to James Bond this thing, Holiday at 25+ is going for +240 right now at FanDuel. He's gone over that number in his last two outings without Antetokounmpo stealing all his shine.
