Wednesday's NBA Player Prop Pick: Get Ready For Finney-Smith Time

It always pays to go through the lines a second time throughout the day. I'm not saying that you'll always find gold, I'm just saying that sometimes you might. These lines start to blur together the longer you look at them and sometimes the numbers didn't even exist the first time you saw a game. Especially with the west coast tilts. I'll give you a prime example of what I'm talking about if you just keep reading. What a class act.

Mavericks vs. Kings odds

Dorian Finney-Smith Over 11.5 points @ -115 (DraftKings)

I'd do this one at DraftKings if I were you. FanDuel has 11.5 for -116 so they're in play but BetMGM has the same number at -125. Obviously we want the lowest price possible and DraftKings has that. It should be noted that Barstool doesn't have any props on this game yet so it's worth looking there as well before you wager.

Luka Doncic last played for the Dallas Mavericks on December 10th. Since then he's been out and he won't be in action tonight. Why is that important? Because Finney-Smith has taken at least 10 shots in every game since then except for the last one where he only took eight. We can forgive him for that since Dwight Powell went off for 22 points which never happens.

Finney-Smith hasn't just been taking shots, but he's been making them too. He's reached double digits in scoring in each of his last six games and has canned at least three threes in four of those six games. This guy is in good form right now.

The Mavericks will get a break tonight since they play the Sacramento Kings. The Kings just played last night and even though they're getting guys back from the Covid protocols, they still stink. Especially on defense where they are fifth worst in the NBA in terms of efficiency. This feels like a good spot for Dorian Finney-Smith to score in the teens and stuff a few dollars in our pockets in the process.
