NBA Player Prop Pick for Tuesday: Bank on Buckets From Monk

Look at the schedule tonight people. There are five games on the slate. That's not a lot. On top of that, there is only one game that tips after 9:00 pm ET on the east coast. We will definitely need action for that one. Our hands a pretty much tied when it comes to that. Luckily for us, it's the Sacramento Kings and Los Angeles Lakers. We should see a fast pace with little to no defense being played. That's my kind of basketball people.

Malik Monk Over 16.5 Points (+100)

Line Available at DraftKings at Time of Publishing

DraftKings is the spot for this one since they are giving us even money. FanDuel isn't so bad at -108 but Barstool is extremely high on Monk at -113 for the same 16.5 points. I guess it's better than BetMGM since they don't even have player props posted for this one yet. In their defense, I'm sure they will be along shortly.

We're taking this bet for one reason and that is because of dedication. Dedication can mean a lot of things to a lot of people but for Malik Monk, it means not getting ink on his right arm. He went the Nick Young route on the subject and which means his right is "strictly for buckets". How can you deny that sort of dedication?

It's working too people. Monk has been getting minutes in the 30s lately and he's scoring buckets. In fact, he's covered this number in four of his last five games. The only time he didn't was when he only hung 15 on the Memphis Grizzlies last Wednesday. That wasn't his fault because Dwight Howard started that night which is enough to throw anyone off. He hasn't played since and Monk has looked great. Coincidence?

Tonight the Lakers are welcoming the Sacramento Kings to Crypto.com Arena. They'll probably be able to bait the Kings into playing fast which would be huge. Only four teams in the NBA are worse in terms of defensive efficiency than the Kings. If I had to guess, I'd say Monk handles this by the time the third quarter is over.

* If you want to James Bond this thing, I'd go over to FanDuel. Monk to score 20+ points is +164 over there while DraftKings only has +150. If you want to go 25+, FanDuel is offering +510 for that. Godspeed people.
