NBA player props expert John Hyslop is here with his top player prop pick for Tuesday night's NBA action and it comes from the Los Angeles Clippers vs. Denver Nuggets matchup.

NBA Player Prop Picks for Tuesday: It's Ivica's Time

I checked the bet log and while we've been actually winning, we haven't really been doing it with the most fun type of bets. Everything we've been betting has been smart and efficient, which is cool, but we need to kick it up a notch. What we need is a plus moneyline move on a guy with a wild range of outcomes. That'll get you jacked up. Luckily for us, we have the perfect guy on the slate to pull off a wager like this. We have to do it at this point. Our hands are tied.

Ivica Zubac 10+ Points (+116) (Bet $100 to Win $116)

Line Available at Fanduel at Time of Publishing

This one is at FanDuel but if you can't play there, you have other options. They aren't plus money James Bond options but they are options. DraftKings, Barstool, and BetMGM all have 8.5 hanging in the -120s. That's doable but I like the extra point for plus money when we're talking about a move like this one.

Here's the thing about Zubac; he could cash in the first quarter or he could only take two shots in 25 minutes. I don't get it. The guy is seven feet tall and the basketball looks like a grapefruit in his hands. He plays close to the basket so how is it possible that he doesn't score at least 10 points every night. The basket is right there, just put the ball in there. How hard is that?

The frustrating thing about Zubac is he could go for 15+ points or three. His form has been questionable lately since he's just now getting his legs back because he had Covid. He's only played two games since December 29th. What's encouraging is the fact that he had eight points in both games since returning. The guy is right there if he just plays the right team.

I think he's playing the right team in the Denver Nuggets tonight. He dropped 17 on these guys the day after Christmas which was the last time he went into double digits in the points category. Randos like Alex Len and Dwight Powell have both gone 15+ on Denver in the past week and neither played more than 27 minutes. That's a good sign.

If I had to guess, I'd say Zubac plays 25+ minutes tonight. The smartest thing they can do is try to get Nikola Jokic into foul trouble by making him play defense. It probably won't work but Jokic had a 26-22 game against them last time. They need to do something and that something could be to work Zubac into the offense. This bet seems crazy at first, reckless even, but I think it has wheels.
