Atlanta Hawks vs. Miami Heat Predictions: Trust in Trae Young, Hawks on Wednesday Night
I am back with another NBA play tonight for this loaded Wednesday night slate. We have been on a roll on the hardwood, so let's keep the momentum up for tonight's game. The play I want to get into tonight will be an Eastern Conference affair between the Miami Heat and the Atlanta Hawks.

Atlanta Hawks vs. Miami Heat Betting Line Movement
Atlanta Hawks vs. Miami Heat Prediction
The Heat were active in the offseason, landing All-Star guard Kyle Lowry on their already good roster. The combo of Lowry, Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo saw the Heat as the Eastern Conference's best team early in the season. However, injuries have controlled the Heat for the better part of the last month, bringing them back to Earth. Adebayo has missed extended time, and Jimmy Butler has been absent as of late for the Heat as well.
The Hawks have been perhaps the NBA's most disappointing team so far this year. The Hawks have had to deal with a ton of injuries and COVID issues throughout the season. They have had trouble getting their full starting lineup on the floor together, but they are slowly getting healthier by the day. This is a team that is still expected to compete and make the postseason, but they want to turn things around sooner, rather than later. This is a chance to do just that against this Miami Heat team who is without two of their three best players.
The play I am turning to for tonight's game will be to back the Atlanta Hawks on the short line.
The Hawks come into this game somehow the healthier team of the two. The Heat will struggle with size and rim protection in this game as they will be without their top two centers. Miami will also be missing the heart and soul of their team in All-Star Jimmy Butler.
The Hawks, on the flip side, are slowly getting healthier and look to have most of their weapons for this game. Trae Young will be in the lineup, and he should be the best player on the court. Young will have to be aggressive and lead the Hawks to a much-needed home win in front of the Atlanta faithful.
The status of Clint Capela is something to watch as well, he is currently questionable, but if he goes, I think this line could really jump in favor of the Hawks. The thing I think is the largest advantage for the Hawks tonight is the paint. Bam and Dwayne Dedmon will not be in the lineup, which will kill the Heat's rim protection.
I think the Hawks match up very well with their size as they feature John Collins, along with two good centers who can give them production inside. I also believe the Hawks' guards, particularly Trae Young, will be able to drive and score efficiently in the paint. The Hawks' defense will have to show up for them tonight to get the win, but I have faith in them in this position. I will gladly ride the short home favorite. Let's stay hot tonight.
