NBA Parlay Breakdown
The Philadelphia 76ers are tasked with defeating the Charlotte Hornets on the first leg of this three-team parlay, and I must say, I like our odds! But maybe my confidence is misguided? Charlotte has won their last three games, including a notable victory over the Phoenix Suns. Yet, I still can't but into the sustainability of a roster that is so poor defensively, this is the same Hornets team that ranks 28th in the NBA for defensive rating, and they're missing Kelly Oubre Jr for this contest, which takes away some of their offensive potency. Of course, the Sixers aren't a picture of consistency, and won't be until they resolve the never-ending Ben Simmons saga. Yet, with Tobias Harris listed as probable and Joel Embiid firing on all cylinders, you get the feeling Charlotte could get exposed tonight. Philadelphia has won their last 5 games in a row and looks to be rolling right now, so unless LaMelo Ball or Gordon Hayward has a big scoring night, I can see the Hornets crashing back down to earth.
Next up, we have the San Antonio Spurs against the Houston Rockets, in what is a trap game for Greg Popovich's men. Houston has won just 1 time in their last 10 outings and continues to look like a team set on snagging a top draft pick this summer. However, the Spurs are missing six rotation players tonight, with the most notable being sharpshooting wing Doug McDermott who provides his team with much-needed spacing to allow Dejaunte Murray the room to drive to the basket and be the terror he is becoming known as. Yet, despite the Spurs' lack of depth, and lack of star talent, I can't see the Rockets figuring things out and clawing their way to a victory - they're too dysfunctional for that. As such, we're rolling with the Spurs and feeling good about the decision.
Finally, we have a tough game to decide, the Chicago Bulls vs. the Brooklyn Nets. The Eastern Conference leaders against the team that was supposed to be leading the conference, oh what a battle this is shaping up to be. Brooklyn, for all their riches of talent, is dropping winnable games left, right, and center, and continues to dream about what their big-three would look like if they could ever share the court at the same time. Kevin Durant deserves more than this! Tonight, the Nets have James Harden and Kyrie Irving listed as questionable, while Joe Harris continues to miss games due to left ankle surgery. Of course, should Harden and Irving both suit up, you might want to back the Nets in this contest, but if one of those two isn't in the rotation tonight, you've got to favor the Bulls pulling out a W. Chicago has won 9 of their last ten games, and look every bit the best team in the East right now, while DeMar DeRozan is playing the best basketball of his life, and Zach Lavine clearly wishes to be considered one of the better players in the conference. There are no new injuries on the report for Chicago, meaning we know what team, and what rotations we're getting, and that gives us confidence. After all, this is the same Bulls team that is 3rd in offensive rating and 10th in defensive rating this season - they're almost a complete team. I came into the season with high hopes for Brooklyn, and honestly, I still think they can figure things out, but tonight, I have to side with the in-form team, and that's the Bulls.

Indiana Pacers vs. Boston Celtics Same-Game Parlay
- Celtics Moneyline
- Jayson Tatum Over 2.5 Three's
- Jaylen Brown Over 23.5 Points
- Odds: +526

The Boston Celtics won their game against the Indiana Pacers earlier this week, but honestly, it was a boring game. Boston's current scheme is to grind teams to a halt, and then figure a way to score, and while it's effective in theory, it makes for difficult viewing. We're taking a slight gamble by backing Jayson Tatum to score three three-point shots or more tonight, as he's been struggling since returning from COVID, however, slumps have to end at some point, and why can't that be tonight?
On the opposite end of the spectrum, Jaylen Brown has been out to prove his doubters wrong has been playing like a man possessed over the last week or so, something we expect to continue tonight. Of course, the Pacers are no pushovers - they're inconsistent, but not bad per se. Outside of Marcus Smart, who exited the last game between these two sides with a thigh contusion, neither team has any new names on their injury report, so we can expect a similar set of rotations from each side. While the Celtics have struggled for the most part of the season, the Pacers' best chance of winning comes from the center and power-forward position, two spots where the Celtics are strong defensively. As such, I'm siding with the Celtics, who will be aiming for their third win in a row, and while I expect the game to be another bore-fest, we should be there or thereabouts with this prop-bet parlay.
New York Knicks vs. Dallas Mavericks Same-Game Parlay
- Luka Doncic Under 25.5 Points
- Mavericks Moneyline
- Julius Randle Under 9.5 Rebounds
- Odds: +531

We're backing the Dallas Mavericks to come out on top against the New York Knicks tonight. Luka Doncic is back and the Knicks are still missing both of their primary point guards, but if that's not enough to tempt you then I don't know what is! Only joking! But in all seriousness, the Knicks and Mavericks have both been struggling to find consistency this season, and neither is having the year their fans would have hoped for. But, what gives Dallas the edge, is the fact that they have the best player on the floor, and that New York's defense isn't the same as what it was last year, which is a shame considering how successful it made them.
Over the last two weeks, the Knicks have found themselves with an offense that ranks 23rd in the NBA, but their defense has taken an upturn and would sit at 7th in the league, it's unfortunate that type of performance hasn't been sustainable. The Mavericks, on the other hand, have won 6 of their last 7 games over the last two weeks, and have the best-ranked defense for the same time period - that's part of the reason we're backing Julius Randle to finish with less than 10 rebounds tonight. Dallas' form, along with them boasting the best player, is the reason we're riding with them to close out our list of parlay's, and short of some unforeseen roster news, we should feel confident about being in the mix for a tidy profit come the final whistle.
