NBA player props expert John Hyslop is here with his top player prop pick for Wednesday night's NBA action and it comes from the Sacramento Kings vs. Los Angeles Lakers matchup.

NBA Player Prop Picks for Wednesday: Back to Monk

Last week when I was watching the Los Angeles Lakers and Sacramento Kings I told Alexa to remind me that Malik Monk was playing the Kings again this Wednesday. It worked because about two minutes ago Alexa reminded me that Malik Monk was playing the Kings tonight. Since that's the case, we have to bet him. A guy like Monk can't be held down by a team like the Kings. That's just not how basketball works. But instead of taking his points again, I'm going with another option that is likely to turn out to be the greatest bet ever made.

Malik Monk Over 2.5 Made Threes (+105) (Bet $100 ton Win $105)

Line Available at DraftKings or Barstool at Time of Publishing

This one is tricky but I ended up playing it at DraftKings because I like the +105 on 2.5 makes. That's just gold and if you can play at Barstool, the same bet is hanging around over there. We can get +104 at FanDuel for it or +100 at BetMGM too so don't fret. Both are pretty sweet deals for a bet this good. It's all deadly really.

I'm what people call a Malik Monk expert. I get this kid on a higher level. We're both 6'2 but we both tell people we're 6'3". Like me, he also has never seen a three-pointer he didn't think he could hit. The only real difference is that he can actually make some of his attempts. We're pretty much the same guy which gives me an advantage when picking his games.

A guy like Monk (and me) has certain teams he likes to play against. Teams that just don't play defense. Teams like the Sacramento Kings. So far this season, only four teams are worse in terms of defensive efficiency than Sacramento so I'm not just making stuff up here.

Monk loves playing the Kings which you can tell by his game log or just by looking into his eyes when he's on the floor against them. (Be careful though because it's kind of like looking into Prince's eyes (RIP) back in the day.) In three games this season, Monk has hit at least four threes in every game.

The beautiful thing is Monk has attempted 28 threes in the three games he's played against Sacramento. I think he's just following Buddy Hield do it for the Kings and just follows his lead. Chunk and duck people. My guess is this kid takes at least nine threes tonight with an upside of 10+. All he has to do is hit three of them.
