NBA Player Prop Picks for Thursday: Crazy For Looney

This might be the craziest bet I've made in a while. It feels insane. But there are certain rules I have in life and this play falls into one of my most important. When you get a double-header on TNT, you need to do all you can to find a move for both games. Even if it's a little out of pocket. If you don't, then you could find yourself watching a nationally televised game that you don't have money on. I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy. The first game tonight is the Golden State Warriors versus the Milwaukee Bucks at 7:30 pm ET. I've already done at least 2500 mental simulations on this one and the results were shocking. Looney even.

Kevon Looney Over 5.5 Points @ +100 (Bet $100 to win $100)

*Odds available at DraftKings at time of publishing*

At the moment, you have to play this one at DraftKings. BetMGM and Barstool still don't have numbers up for Looney and FanDuel is asking -108 for 5.5. I'm not rich so I just went with the even money. Plus this one could go sideways pretty easily. I'm still doing it though.

I'll start with the reason we shouldn't do this one. Looney might not even get 20 minutes of floor time tonight. In his last nine games, Looney has gone under 20 minutes in three of them. As we all know, you can't score from the bench so every second he spends riding the pine is bad for us. We're still going to try to thread the needle though.

What the haters won't tell you about Looney's last nine games is that he's gone over 5.5 points in all of them. Suck it, haters. Even with the limited playing time, he's still managed to take at least five shots in seven of those games. Five shots is more than enough to get home on this number. In theory, he just needs to dunk it three times. How hard is that?

The Milwaukee Bucks aren't the greatest opponent for centers but we have to remember that Mason Plumlee just hung six on them. It wouldn't be fair to him if we forgot that. Nicolas Claxton put up 14 against them in just 25 minutes last Friday night. The point is, randos do this all the time to the Bucks. I say we give this Looney guy a chance tonight.
